If you tow a lot the diesel makes sense, the fuel and maintenance both cost more negating some of the fuel economy savings. But mileage is greatly improved while towing.
My old gmc with the 5.3 averaged 28L/100km towing while my ecodiesel gets 17-18L/100km towing the same trailer on the same...
I’m not sure how well the sock style fabric chains or zip tie style chains work on ice, but with 22” wheels there wouldn’t be much option.
I believe security chain company has a chart for different size tires and sidewalls.
I’ve had no issue in fresh snow up to 12-14” deep and drifts up to my headlights in our last winter storm. I’m impressed with the duratracs so far, but will be getting chains for when unexpected weather moves in.
Other than door seals sticking I’ve had no issues. I’d give everything a shot of silicone lubricant and see if it helps. Definitely sounds like water where it shouldn’t be.
What about dual lithium batteries in the storage boxes under the rear floor? They aren’t insulated well if at all from the factory, but you could easily insulate them and run all wires under the truck.
Access behind the rear seats will take a bit of modification unless you have reclining rear seats. And depending on the way your truck is equipped space may be limited. The e-torque battery and subwoofer are behind the rear seats along with a few smaller modules.
Nope, but they shoot each other with illegally smuggled guns so let’s ban them all and it’ll fix it right?
I’m a couple of hours from Toronto, and the violence is slowly spreading out of the city. So I decided it’s time to move way north and get away from it all. April needs to hurry up already.
It’s either that or my moose rifle, which is a .338 win mag. Up here in the north we have single shot rifles on the upcoming list of “banned assault rifles” it’s such a joke.
While installing my front light bar today I had removed the top radiator cover and noticed how easy it would be to relocate the horns. This is definitely on my to do list.
Criminals here aren’t worried about someone shooting at them when they commit crime against common citizens. Even tho I’m in Canada I won’t hesitate to protect my family and property, shotgun is always ready to go.
With all of these leaks I’ve done the same as my previous 2020 truck and sealed around the antenna and third brake light with clear silicone as a preventative measure. My new house is over 3 hours from the nearest dealer and I don’t feel like dealing with this again.
If you are looking to setup the trailer brakes you have to do that on the main uconnect display and not the hud. The screenshot I posted earlier was of the 12” uconnect 5, but it should be similar to the 8.4”.
Gain is set using the + or - buttons on the brake controller itself.
No way to stop the thefts completely, but I feel like using multiple deterrents to make it so you aren’t the east target is your best bet to keep most thieves looking elsewhere.
I plan to relocate my horn, add some sort of tracking device (AirTag or old cellphone) and a version of what Jimmy07...
Hmm I see that now, very disappointing that they are one of the very few manufacturers to not be involved.
Customer care tends to be very slow to respond and don’t expect miracles out of them. It’s really just assigning a case worker to your issue who oversees the dealer to make sure they do...
There is CAMVAP in Canada, they can force the dealer to fix it or buy it back. Not sure if it’s available in Quebec tho.
They are going to assist me with the NOX sensor repair I have been waiting over 15 weeks for if customer care doesn’t figure something out soon.
