I have no glare issues. I do have each light aimed slightly out to help illuminate the sides better. To be honest the 10k lumen ditch lights made a bigger difference than the 30k+ light bar. Could just be due to the spot/driving beam being so focused on the larger bar while the pod lights are a...
No issues here with rigid SS-pro lights mounted with z-roadz mounting brackets. I also have a rigid light bar mounted to the front bumper and have had zero issues in soft touch washes.
Every automatic wash will differ, it all comes down to how much the owner/employees pay attention or care...
Could be a coincidence, but the first time I ever let my 2020 run until the def warning came on the def level sensor stopped working and even after refilling the def the fluid level was never recognized. The entire def tank had to be replaced as the sensor is not available on its own.
Ever...
I do also run the grille cover during the winter months, it isn’t necessary on the 5th gens as they have active grille shutters. I like it to keep the ice and snow from going into the grille and coating everything with ice.
Easy, I did pull back the wheel well liner to make sure I didn’t drill into anything hidden. There is a perfect opening to run the wire up under the air box intake and hook up to the stock block heater cord.
I used the dual plug noco so I had a second space for an onboard charger, there will be...
No issues in temps as low as -38 in northern Ontario. I do run hotshot secrets diesel anti-gel during the winter months and plug in the block heater when it is below -20 tho.
In preparation for my move to northern Ontario I relocated the block heater cord using a noco dual port plug. No longer have to open the hood each time I hook up the insanely short block heater cord, and there’s a second plug for an onboard charger.
Install location should work on all 5th gens...
Even after lubing up the o-rings the cartridge filter on these ecodiesels you’ll need a socket and wrench to get anywhere, they are a tight fit and aren’t the same as the can style filters you’d see on other motors. It’s kind of a pain to need a wrench all of the way in or out.
I tighten the...
Ya I’m not sure what the service interval is, another thing is the wax coating they apply to the frame rather than painting it. I have a buddy with a 2021 sierra and there is already significant rust in some areas of the frame.
There has been reports of the ram box lids being warped or not lining up well since they came out. I did not get them so I cannot comment further than that.
The bed utility group will be different from a ram with and without the ram boxes. If you want bed lighting you will either have to add...
Just priced mopar oil filters at my local dealer in Ontario Canada. $96 Canadian plus taxes a piece….
They also said they had a truck in the shop that had a blown up eco diesel due to lack of maintenance and the warranty claim was denied as the owner had only done 2 oil changes when he should...
I’d rather run 2wd when driving highway miles to reduce wear on the differential. I know nothing specifically mentions possible transfer case damage when using 4wd hi for extended periods, but running it in 4hi for hours on end at highway speeds probably isn’t the best.
As to why I’d have to...
That’s crazy, nice to see there is an aftermarket bushing that will work with the factory mounting brackets. The brackets included with the prothane bushings are what failed for me, and customer care never replied to any of my emails.
I would have been plugged into the left usb C port under the radio when it happened. I noticed the area of the usb ports was noticeably warm to the touch aswell.
No, the factory brackets are moulded to hold the bushing in place. Prothane uses a flat steel bracket bent into a U shape to hold the bushing. Factory bracket is much stronger than the flat aftermarket style bracket.
