Are you talking about the factory fender flares? My only issue so far has been a few paint chips, going to get some clear bra installed...kind of disappointed in the paint quality, but other than that I love the truck.
When the 2019's came out I thought finally, I will have the perfect truck! And then with 800 miles on it I'm noticing the paint chips already. Not one paint chip on my 2014 Ram after 5 years of driving in Pennsylvania (garbage roads and snowy winters). My wife's Durango is the same way...
Depends on where you're buying I suppose. Some states are better than others. I checked multiple dealerships and I ranged from 5,800 off MSRP to 8,200 on a Laramie. It does depend on trim level....people seem to keep leaving out that info, and it makes a huge difference.
Never had mud flaps on my 14 Ram...also had mud tires and wheels that were offset an inch outside the fender. Not a single paint chip anywhere on the truck and I was off road multiple times. Already starting to notice paint chips on my new 19 including as high as the painted mirrors. This...
GPS apps are pretty accurate I've found. I also tested the odometer from a known distance after I calibrated...it was off before and accurate after. Maybe give that a try...oddly enough I believe the digital speedo reading is inaccurate after a tire change, while the analog speed is accurate...
Mine was off by 4-5 mph at higher speeds after switching to 35's, and drove on them for a couple weeks before I re-calibrated. It's physics, no idea how you were the exception to the rule lol.
There probably won't be any significant changes for the 2020...maybe the tailgate and this night package I keep hearing about. If you want a new truck now, I'd go with a 2019 instead of speculating what may or may not be with the 2020...plus you have 10k off, that's significant, although some...
MSRP was $64,410, after dealer incentives and Ram rebate I was at $56,401 so $8,209 off MSRP...then I had 2 trades (2014 Ram Express and 2010 Camaro SS) and after all that was said and done I was out the door at $19,700. Not a bad deal! At least I thought so.
VIN should be within a couple days, D1 should be shortly after that. I was at D within a couple days and D1 within about a week. Sat at D/D1 for about 2 weeks before it entered production.
Yeah mine was in D1 for a while then all of a sudden the build was complete within 2 days...I checked every day just because I wanted to get a feel for how the order process worked. D1 was the longest for me. Total time from order to pick up was 28 days.
Gotcha...I ordered mine with a 392 gear ratio but I honestly haven't noticed a difference in shifting before and after the RC calibration. It definitely fixed the speed, MPG and odometer though so I guess it just depends if you want it to be accurate or not. I'm just going by what the buzz is...
I did the same thing and was 4-5 mph off at higher speeds....about 9.1% change. It definitely affects the speed, odometer, and MPG reading and I believe the actual gear shifts.
The reason why I ask is because people keep talking about "flashing" it back to stock if they have to take it to the dealership for recalls or any other issue that they have to plug in for. Not sure why.
I just used the RC Calibrator on my truck yesterday...easy to use and very effective. I keep hearing about flashing back to stock...I assume this means restoring it to factory settings? If so, how do you do that...in other words, what size tire is factory? I realize its 31.9" or so, but under...
