I would, and I have reason to be in Dallas soon, but nothing is open right now! No bars, restaurants, entertainment etc... Maybe after this stuff all settles down
Got it, yes it could help as a replacement for having to plug/unplug. I've found that if the unit doesn't connect automatically after a remote (or any) start, I can select the Ram in the phone Bluetooth settings--sometimes many times-and it will finally connect.
I'm hoping a future software...
If 20 seconds is your problem you should just move along. It will NEVER be faster than that as I has to have time to boot after you start the truck and a Carplay connection is established.
I'm not super happy with the alignment issues Ram has had with the Ramboxes, but I do use mine every single day. Tools, groceries, spare shoes/clothing and a few towels, a couple tarps, straps, a fishing pole, what else?
That's been my experience too, there must be something with the way that the truck doesn't fully "boot up" when using remote start until you actually press the start button. The sequence of events is off for the connection to happen correctly.
Yeah that's a real issue for me too. Ram/FCA should attempt to make this right by extending everyone's sub for at least a year. We purchased trucks with promised features that never worked?
Yesterday when returning to my truck, I opened the tailgate and tossed a bag into the bed. The tailgate unlocked via the proximity sensor for the key FOB, which was in my bag. When I went to get into the cab, the doors were locked and I realized I had left my keys in the bag, which was now...
If your system had to reset, that stuff should show up in a few hours on it's own. This is similar to if you pull you battery cable for a few minutes--the software has re-download. You might hold off on the dealership for a bit just to see.
That has been my main issue as well. So far, it seems to be resovled. I've probalby had 2-3 hours of bluetooth calls since I updated, and not one has "muted" me.
It really sucks to hear that you've had this issue so long. I had mine for only 10 months and the issues were driving me mad. Please post back with your progress/success with the lawyers, I hope that works out for you.
So some changes I've noticed:
1. Search within navigation is "online". My screen shows bars, and LTE. (maps are NOT updated as others have noted--that's not part of the software)
2. My audio sounds quite a bit better. It's hard to quantify, but the bass seems a bit tighter and there is less...
Well this thread makes me feel a little better myself. Same thing happened to me a few weeks back. Parked, jumped out of the truck, only to come back 5 hours later to find it still running! I can't believe they allow that to happen, to be honest. Maybe a message on the dash... car has been...
I’ve seen this occasionally as well. You can try opening your Bluetooth settings on your iPhone and tapping the RAM device in the list. This will often make the connection. But if that doesn’t work you need unplug and reconnect it.
Also, make sure you’ve recently rebooted your phone. iPhone...
