Yes, there is a setting in Uconnect to deploy them, but it only works for when the truck is stationary. There is also a setting to keep them stowed and will not deploy when you open the doors.
You can't totally prevent them but there are ways to really reduce the number of door dings you get. Parking where no one else parks is a big one. Sure, you might have to walk further but it's worth it to me. Plus I get a little more exercise. Another way is to put the air suspension in off...
I agree with you in spirit but unfortunately while you're fighting with Stellantis your window will be letting in water and causing damage if you don't do something yourself in the meantime.
Those aren’t remote start issues, it’s the way it was designed. It also won’t remote start with the hood open. They likely designed it to behave that way because people do stupid things to hurt themselves. I’m wondering why you’d need to remote start your truck with the tailgate, doors, or...
I wish you all the luck in the world but I don't see a buy back happening for a paint issue on the tailgate or rust on the rear bumper. The reality is that these are things that can easily be taken care of. You're putting yourself through so much grief over this. Take one of the suggestions...
Most of the people who have done this did it after the factory warranty expired. You won't be reimbursed by Ram if you swap to the solid rear window because your truck didn't originally come with that. Extended warranties don't cover this but some people have successfully negotiated...
You mean the truck that was originally supposed to be available back in 2024? :ROFLMAO:
I was planning to buy one this year because we were told they would be available for 2025. A few months ago Ram announced they were pushing it out further so we went another direction for a comfortable...
I want to agree with you, and I would if they didn't offer sliding rear windows. But the fact that an owner can open the rear window and then forget it's open leaves electronic devices on the rear wall vulnerable to water if that happens before a rain storm. Granted, that would be the owner's...
Is it specifically the word "RAM" that is the problem? Truck makers have been putting the brand name on the tailgate for decades. CHEVROLET, FORD, and DODGE have been plastered across the tailgates of many trucks over the years. I will agree that the chrome version is ugly as hell but if it's...
Not even dealerships know that. It's anyone's guess whether incentives will be better at that time. My guess is that if sales don't pick up a lot, incentives will get better. If sales pick up a lot then incentives might go down. Simple supply and demand.
We have the Bakflip and it works great. Much more secure than a soft roll up or tri-fold cover. I would highly recommend that cover if they make one that works with the MFT on a standard bed (non rambox bed).
Haha that’s one reason for wanting the MFT I haven’t heard. Because of its versatility I’d recommend the MFT regardless of whether it had the RAM letters or the ram’s head badge.
Congrats on the Rebel. I test drove a 2025 Big Horn SO a couple months ago and I would have to agree. I wasn’t really impressed with it. It didn’t feel any faster than the 2020 Limited (Hemi) we have now, or the 2014 F150 EB we also own.
As far as adaptive cruise control goes, your Rebel...
Welcome to the forum from one old guy to another. You're likely to get more answers/suggestions than you bargained for, but since you asked I can tell you what things are deal breakers for us. Although most of them would require a higher trim level than the Big Horn. And since I will never...
Congrats! Enjoy your truck and be sure to perform regular maintenance. The mileage is getting up there but plenty of people have seen well over 200k miles with the Hemi. But it would probably be a good idea to set some money aside each month in case you have issues down the road.
When you say cargo rails are you meaning the utility rails? If so, be aware that there are two different versions of utility rails. For most aftermarket bed covers you will need the silver utility rails. The black rails are for use with the factory bed covers.
$75 is a decent price for them...
My time is worth more than what it would cost to just have a local body shop repaint the tailgate. I'd go that route if it were me and forget dealing with the dealership BS.
Something doesn’t sound right here. Are you saying you pointed this out to them before signing any paperwork? Any time I’ve found something like that before actually buying the vehicle I make sure it gets written into the sales paperwork. Basically I don’t buy it if that doesn’t happen. Why...
