    Camper Shell/Topper

I had an ARE CX Revo on my 2019 Ram 1500. Worked really well and looked factory. Very sleek.

won't save volume levels after update

I’ll test out saving higher volumes to see if they load on startup. I’ve always tried lower volumes.

won't save volume levels after update

I’ve now found that the lowered volume levels do seem to be saved with the profile, but do not load properly on startup (revert to 15). After startup, if I then power-cycle the radio while the truck is running (hold volume button for 10-15 sec), the radio restarts and loads the saved volume...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

The slight lift and level plus off-road tires increase drag quite a bit. Add the 3.92 ratio, and you’ve dropped highway mpg a lot. The extra weight hurts mpg around town too. Every rebel has been like that pretty much, whether Hemi or SSO.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Yeah that’s normal, especially in the cold. Once the tray wears in more it’ll be easier to slide.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Apple CarPlay stopped functioning once today. It usually happens at least once or twice a week. Quick fix if this happens; hold the power and select buttons (two main buttons in the scroll wheels) for around 10 seconds u til the head unit restarts. It should work after that. You can do this...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I think I may have the update their talking about, as I have the “apps” icon at the top now. The weird behaviors still exist though. I know when it loses my language and horn settings because when I get in and start backing out, the backup camera screen warning is in Italian. And I also agree...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

2025 SST SO Bighorn Level 2 Night Edition. I’m 9,000 miles in now. Everything’s been great for the most part. Added nerf bars and an undercover flex tri-fold cover. The only issues have been some of the intermittent electrical gremlins that most every truck seems to have these days: - it will...

Very rough intense ugly sound on startup . 2025 Ram Bighorn

The clicking sound is the high pressure fuel pump. In my experience they are not normally that loud. It’d be worth showing that video to your dealership to get their opinion if the truck is still under warranty. If that pump fails, or loses pressure during operation (the hurricane runs really...

OEM wheels and tires - Did you sell them?

I’d keep them until you use the new wheels and tires for a while. If the new ones don’t balance as well, you’ll get tired of the shaky ride pretty quick. After that, if you’re satisfied, just sell them online and get ready to take a low offer. Seems like OEM wheels don’t resell very well generally.

    2019 or 2017

For those two, I’d have to see the specific builds and mechanical history, and have them checked over by a mechanic first. Whichever was more mechanically sound and have options I preferred, that’s the one I’d go with.

Payload rating and trying to decide on the right truck

My 2025 bighorn has 1727lbs of payload. SO SST, level 2 pkg, night edition. Let go of some of the luxury items and you’ll have all the payload you need. I moved from a Bighorn to a Limited, then back down to a Bighorn b/c all the “luxury” wore off after a few months. Both bighorns rode/ride...

won't save volume levels after update

Same issue here. Wish they would change that. Very annoying.

    Tow/Haul Mode Switch Addon

On the 25’s, it’s one of the drive modes you choose via the buttons on the steering wheel.

Any advantage to using premium fuel

I’ve ran both 87 and 93 in my SO. Minimal noticeable difference. Perhaps a bit of power loss on the top end and a tiny mpg loss on 87. Nothing worth sticking to 93.

    3.0 HO as an OPTION

I bet it’ll be an option for the Laramie and maybe big horn in a couple years. Start it high-only, then bring it down-ticket after a year or two.

    Exhaust manifold leak

I’ve dealt with that issue twice in the past. Other shorties did very little if anything to help performance. The passenger side swap should go smoothly. It’s the driver side that’s the headache. Also, there most likely will be bolts stuck in the head that you’ll have to extract. Since it...

    Is there a sport mode?

The Eco diesel engine wasn’t made for sport. It was made for smoothness and fuel efficiency. A tune is pretty much the only way you’re gonna get rid of that turbo lag. The stock tune setup is hampered by government emissions requirements, sport or no.

    Payload question

Assuming it’s bagged pellets on an actual pallet (like what Lowe’s sets out to sell individual bags of), the load in would be the scariest part to me. Whoever is driving that forklift better be really good. That amount of weight would need to be placed properly in the bed over the axle. I...

    Is there a sport mode?

I don’t think so. However, even if it did, it’d be more of a gimmick; make the gas pedal a bit more sensitive, maybe hold one gear lower, and stiffen up the steering a touch.
