Honestly, unless you have some sort of specific need for Homelink (which I have always found to be a royal PITA to program on all of our cars (maybe it's because our openers use rolling codes, don't know), why not just get a brand name opener on Amazon and program it yourself? I don't know what...
No.
I don't like the look (subjective) and I don't want anyone messing with the truck or getting anything wet or otherwise screwed up during the install.
Finally, I would always keep good sunglasses (corrective if needed) in the car.
That is good to know. In Maryland you get the title, with a lien. Explained that to CC to no avail, but in the big scheme not a huge mistake on their part.
A little late to the discussion but I just went through the process with Chrysler Capital and so I thought adding that experience could be helpful.
We wanted to buy out our 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie - truck is loaded and about 60 days before lease end, the dealer started calling / emailing. No...
Sounds like a really nice truck. Congrats and good luck with it! Funny you mentioned the liner and bed cover - I added those too and they are really useful as well. I bought the Mopar tri fold bed cover and it does a really nice job of keeping our horse related equipment perfectly dry when we...
I have both the large screen and the HK system. They are nice but hardly life altering. If I were looking for a used truck, I would prioritize condition, mileage, and service history over toys, assuming the prices are similar. If you are towing, I would prioritize the 3.91 rear end as it is...
Also forgot to mention keep the pano roof shade closed in the summer and cracking the rear vent window a couple of inches helps too to keep the interior from resembling the surface of the sun. HTH.
We have a 20 1500 Laramie, white over black with the pano roof. AC works fine and ventilated seats help with the heat. We also use a windshield shade in our cars as it really gets hot here in the summer.
Congratulations. Good luck with the truck. If you haven’t done so already, cross check the price of the extended warranty with Zeigler - thanks to advice here I saved a lot of money on the 8/85 $200 I purchased.
Again, best of luck with your truck.
Not saying you are poor. But now imagine you had taken even half the money spent on trucks traded in before they were worn out and put the money into a simple investment like an S&P 500 index fund. The calculators are available all over the internet.
Listen if you are someone sitting on...
Note that I did not say air suspension was troublesome. But as with any suspension component, particularly a shock / strut assembly, overhaul will be required if you keep the truck. Certainly an air strut will not last longer than a conventional high quality shock. I keep trucks a long time...
With the mileage you drive, I would get the diesel. Also, air suspension is useful to level the truck if you regularly tow heavy loads (I define heavy as at around 70% of maximum rating for the truck in question). If you do not regularly tow heavy loads, it is mostly a toy that will require...
Oil threads always end the same.
Use what the manufacturer recommends. Don’t overthink it. If the manufacturer is too incompetent to identify the correct motor oil, then you will need to find a new brand of vehicle anyways. Our Ram lists 5w20. That is what we use. Keep it clean, keep it...
Mine is 4x4 but 4x2 is lighter, less expensive to buy, better fuel economy, and there is less to go wrong. I drove a RWD BMW in snow season for many years by mounting up winter wheels and tires and it could handle pretty much anything you would want to be out in. Plus, I don’t consider any...
Just wanted to say thank you to forum members who alerted people like me that Zeigler has best extended warranty price. I was able to get 8/85 coverage for significantly less than my dealer quote. I was also able to buy my lease out with no dealer involvement, sparked by some of the discussion...
I agree. Air and cabin filters are less than $50 in parts and about five minutes to change. Brake fluid flush today will be north of $100 but $175 too much. Driveline fluids should be done at 60k.
I recently stopped going to my selling dealer because they tried to upsell a similar package...
I find that the wait is not a big deal once you expect it. I will use it on occasion to start the truck when I am walking a fair distance out of an event and the truck has been sitting in the sun. Very nice not to have the truck be 1000 degrees when you get in. And the auto locate feature is...
