When Google bought Waze, they agreed to stay outta it. They really, basically have which is why Waze’s UI isn’t the best. I used to use Google maps then they added all the garbage into it and it became overwhelming.

Agree. Sometimes I’ll navigate with both at the same time, keeping Waze on my head unit and alerts on but have Apple Maps also navigating and it goes to the IPC. Side note, I like Apple Maps for non-highway navigation the best because of its 99% accuracy of traffic light locations.

I go between Waze and Apple Maps. Waze is better at real time of arrival and traffic routing.

Maybe a case to try Apple Maps and HUD? 😂

The dashboard (Instrument Panel Cluster). CarPlay displays (Apple) maps info on the dashboard.

That’s weird, because it does display on the IPC.

My wife has one in her Highlander. The few times I’ve driven it, the uses I’ve found are: Updated current speed limit and turn directions. But normally, I forget to look at it🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t get it. What’s the problem with turning off the HUD? I don’t have one but the manual tell you how. But, also, for my curiosity, why do you dislike it so much?

Yeah, but…unless the fix is something that can be fixed OTA… they’re only gonna issue a TSB (which the major population is unaware of, yes, we’re geeks) and it’ll only get fixed if A. A person go to the dealership and B. The dealer is competent enough to look it up.

I would guess not. Swapping the mechanicals is easier than redoing the CAN bus architecture. I imagine it’ll be the same updated 2025 (styling and software) with the etorque Hemi. Just needs different PCM/TCM software.
