Uconnect 4 12" screens do NOT work with Uconnect 5 modules.
The screen will turn on but you will have no touch functionality.
There was a change in how the screen handles touch via the digitizer. We have experimented with it in length.
Save you money and buy it all at once when ready.
If you only hear sound when touching the screen and soon as you lift your finger the sound stops, this is an acclimation issue. Did the vehicle loose power for an extended period of time or was the radio upgraded or swapped to another unit? If yes then just give the vehicle 24-48 hours for the...
I believe this happens in DS trucks. The vehicle is sending the USB hub type incorrectly to the new radio. You need something to change that signal to allow for it to work. We didn't include this fix for the 19-24 UC5 radio upgrades but 13-18 UC5 have a Genie Max that forces that signal so the...
This issue and others like it are very common when the vehicle's radio looses power. The vehicle needs to re-acclimate to the radio after that kind of power loss. This can take a few minutes up to 48 hours. Best thing to do is a bunch of sleep cycles to help the acclimation along.
I was thinking LVDS cable or LCD failure. These LVDS cables come in two flavors. Panasonic and Harmon cables. They aren't interchangeable as the pin out is different. One is one to on pinout on both ends. Other swaps pins 1 with 2 and 3 with 4. Glad you got it working!
It shouldn't. Send me clearer pictures of that connector and its location and I'll tell you what its for. But for Air Bag, anything the air bag system goes through has a Yellow connector. Both connectors that plug into the Air Bag Control Module are Yellow.
Check Fuse 28, 10A fuse. FUSED...
You'll need to go into Dealer Mode on the radio then go to System Information and get your radio's Application number. This is the software you can update on the radio.
To put the system into ‘Dealer Mode’, Hold the Driver Side Temp Up and Temp Down and Front Defrost buttons down at the same...
Any OEM radio upgrade will need a bezel upgrade as well as you'll loose your volume knob. The UBD 8.4" Uconnect 5 radio would be good for you or a UAG which is Uconnect 4 7" radio but does have build in carplay. Feel free to reach out to our advisor team to discuss your option at your price...
The harness part number is what you need to look at that is within the steering wheel. Tradesman are the only ones that could get a harness that allows most of the steering wheel buttons to work but back button and seek forward don't work. This is what works for 24 and down. 2025s are new can...
Only ones that know are Uconnect themselves. Uconnect will only release an update past 40.1 if there was a major problem. Which the randomness of the start up isn't what they would call important. They have moved on to Uconnect 5 so the likeliness of a Uconnect 4 update coming down the line is...
We can provide application updates for Uconnect 3, 4, & 5 which we get directly from Uconnect themselves. We do not modify or even open the updates when downloading them. If its a retrofit that needs an update then we need the VIN from the donor vehicle or the part number of the Uconnect modules...
Remember nothing will make the vehicle a real dual zone AC. Setting the vehicle to Dual Zone auto will make Comfort show up on the radio. If set to single zone auto you will not see comfort on the screen. Single Zone manual shows comfort I believe.
Just get a splitter with teal ends as they are neutral keyed fakras. Mean they will plug into any other color. Also larger fakras can be swapped by removing the locking tab and pulling the fakra off. Then a new different color fakra can be installed. Another alternative is to get simple 2"...
When the last two letters change in a part number that just means its a later version of the same kit. First was 82216421AA then 82216421AB then 82216421AC then 82216421AD and so on. If you are looking to get the latest kit then find the latest part number which in your example would be 82216421AE.
Yes, just like @SitKneelBend said you need to make sure you match the features of your truck to the 12" screen you get. Example is traction control button above the 12" screen. These buttons can't be swapped from screen to screen so make sure to get the correct one for your application.
That's XY430A. Yes it is for rear heated seats but you are missing the remainder of the factory harness that goes to the seats. Wiring layout for rear heated seats saved to PDF for you.
Is this where the connector is located?
