I, too have no center line. Went through every setting in the menu and did a few more things in attempt to activate it. Seems like it would be included in the "guidance lines." I want it! Does it have something to do with the 12" screen? Anybody with 12" UConnect have the center line?
Thanks for the thorough response @warvet. I got the same info on STAR, they went ahead and opened one just in case re-torquing doesn't work. I did not see the attachment for your service ticket, can you try to repost that?
Super curious to hear your initial thoughts after picking up your truck. I have opened a star case (@alacombe ) with my dealership and truck is going in Monday. Hopefully the untorque/retorque works for you and I am planning on having them do the same. If not, they will be in touch with FCA...
Thanks for the update! Please let us know how yours is when you get out of there. If it’s looking like yours is cured, I will relay to my dealer. Sales manager at my dealership had experienced the clunk first hand also which helps.
Anyone know how feasible swapping gas tanks would be? My mileage thus far has been pretty terrible and I’m kinda regretting not getting the larger gas tank.
I would think it could dropped in and replace/recalibrate the fuel level sensor.
Thanks for letting us know. If you can spare the time to take your truck in to the dealer for this, it will help all of us speed up the process to a TSB or some other kind of resolution. I have escalated this to the GM and Sales manager at my dealer. FCA has been zero help... are you listening...
Thanks for checking in. I’m shocked at the number coming forward with the issue. Please keep us posted here on the outcome with your dealer. I currently have a case open with FCA but the case manager has not yet reached out(go figure). We need a TSB issued on this ASAP
Let me know if you find anything. Only thing I could find that could be questionable was a little play in the CV joints but I suppose some is normal to a degree. My dealer is talking with the higher ups on what move to make next. If I open a STAR case, I have to leave the truck with them for who...
I concur on the rack and pinion. I’m thinking that’s not it either. I just crawled up under mine and took a look at the intermediate shaft. Seems very small for such a big vehicle. If you can, ask them about replacing the intermediate shaft. Wondering if there was a bad batch of them that made...
Ask the mechanic about the possibility of it being the U Joint on the intermediate steering shaft making the clunk. My guys insist it’s the rack and pinion but I’m not so sure. I’ve gotten the rack replaced, no go. I’m hoping someone can swap steering shafts and see if we have any luck with that.
UPDATE: Heard from my dealership today. They have reached out to FCA to try and get something going on this as they have already had other trucks back for service for the same issue.
I have opened a case with Chrysler and should be assigned a case manager within 24 hrs. I am going to bat for...
I’m not ready to jump ship. I agree they need a fair shot at making it right which will take time. I’m just going to escalate the issue as best I can so if others are having the issue maybe it will be easier for them to have it handled. I’m encouraged your dealer was aware of this. The more...
Well, drove the truck last night and the clunk has returned. Did it several times. Usually happens on low speed turns near full-lock of the wheel. I’ve already got a call into the dealer. My service advisor has already uttered the words “buy back.” I really hope it doesn’t come to that. I love...
No kidding. FCA across the board seems to do a miserable job of educating both sales and service about new products. When I ordered my truck I mentioned something about the eTorque system to one of the service people. He looked me straight in the face and said “What’s that?”
