So does anyone have a thought/guess on what it could be that's causing this?
For me, it seemed associated with the start/stop system (I didn't fully stall). It started to as I went into turn & slowed, got the "put in park" warning on screen and then it immediately came back on and I continued...
That's disappointing... Went with the 12" thinking it was the latest and greatest assuming it would be fully supported for several years because of how they where marketing this truck. Seeing that they bailed on it already should be a warning to uC5 owners.
Yeah, 21's seem to get updates. 20's nothing from what I have been gathering. That combined with Uconnect telling me there is a hardware problem with 19-20 UAX Radio leads me to believe the 20's will never get an update.
Apparently the website always states "Up to date", even when its not... 2020's seem to not get updates and Uconnect is useless with support/details as to why.

I suppose but If that radio takes a **** sometime down the road due to hardware problems, there will be no way to control some features (certain climate settings, camera, Wi-Fi, heated seats, etc...) I'd be interested as to what the HW issue is also.

It's really hard for me to believe that no engine code/data/warning is not generated for something like this. Windshield wiper low, constant fancy warning... Potential engine stall or full blown stall, nothing to say about it....
I can confirm (unless I missed it). I have not found a single 2020 owner claim to receive an update. That combined with Uconnect support telling me there are "HARDWARE ISSUES" with all 19-20 UAX radios so they don't receive VHR updates is why I'm so suspicious of this radio. My position is, if...
From reading through the threads, it seems like they (Uconnect) classify the HW by the last 4 of the HW part # (I could be wrong) N3GL for example, the OP's ends with that and so does mine but who knows... Must be a secret specific combination required to be update worthy.

I would really like to know what distinguishes on who gets an update or not and why... Seems like only the 2021's are getting the updates from what I can tell, 19 & 20's are SOL and still on old 20.04.19....

Any chance you guys could comment or offer some insight as to when these rather expensive radios will if ever receive an update to squash some of the reported bugs and improve performance? Its very unusual for a device like this to not receive updates these days.

I think this a feature that some smart devices may refer to as "Ducking" where the volume drops temporarily and is supposed to come back. I've had on and off issues with this (volume gets stuck on very low) a quick fix for me was to push the power off then back on and that seems to clear it in...
I wish I could get a better understanding of these revisions, HW #'s and why Uconnect feels they need to blatantly lie to customers regarding these radios.
They straight up told me via email VHR's are not compatible with the 12"...lol, lying pricks...
So maybe the HW issues they claim are only...
