Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

that's a crock. you could run it without ANY filter in it (not recommended lol) and it wouldn't cause an over boost condition that would result in the failure of the charge tubing. There are MAP sensors that monitor the intake manifold pressure that should prevent the turbo from overboosting...

Ram 1500 floormat pressing accelerator to floor causing vehicle to go into compression test mode?

I used this method to finish priming the oil filter last week after changing the oil. I found that the truck remained in the "compression test mode" even after releasing the accelerator pedal. I had to cycle the ignition to OFF and then it started normally the next key cycle. FWIW

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

my guess is that the clamp was faulty. as you climbed the mountain, the boost pressure would have been holding steady at an elevated pressure, and the clamp finally gave up. once you replace it, chances are it will never fail again. I'm pleased I was able to point you in the right direction...

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

Yup that would do it. The good news is, for the low low cost of a new clamp, you should be back on the road nice and quick. glad it wasn't a blown out end cap on the inter-cooler. that would have been less cheap.

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

reading the "air rushing" part of your post. my first thought would be that the charge pipe may have blown off either end of the intercooler. that's where I would check first. having owned a troublesome first gen RAM ED I was aware at the time of this happening to other owners. as for the...

    Battery Tender for E-torque

I seem to recall reading that the SOC of the 48V pack is kept intentionally low in order to extend its lifespan. sort of like how new iphones can limit the SOC to 80% if the user so desires to extend its useful life. FWIW.

    Stumble coming to stop

I find the final downshift in my truck from second to first when coming to a stop isn't very seamless, and sometimes it does feel a little bit like an engine stumble, as the trans sort of clumsily drops down that last gear. its not every time, but often enough that I've noticed it. If you hit...

    5.7 engine failure

I had a 2019 Classic with the 5.7 that had the cam bearings go out around 90 thousand Kms. PP oil and Mobil 1 filters changed when the oil life monitor told me to. they replaced every moving part in the engine with the exception of the crank and rods/Pistons (under warranty) before concluding...

2021 Limited - Won't start, no comms, battery fine

Those truck have glow plugs to preheat the combustion chamber and they draw a lot. I'm guessing if the battery Voltage is marginal the extra draw would bring it below the threshold it needs to crank over.

Loud blaring warning sound and red message in center of dash

I have left the alert active, however I disabled the automatic braking. I've somehow managed to drive without hitting anyone or anything head on for the last 30 years without that feature in my vehicles, so I should be alright. if the brakes piled on every time that alert went off, Id be very...

    P0304 cylinder 4 misfire.

I believe if the CEL is illuminated solid and not flashing, you should be ok to drive it. As for the power train warranty, I believe it should be covered, however maybe someone more knowledgeable would be able to weigh in.

    Best Oil for Hemi "Tick"

I'll chime in with my thoughts and experience. I had the Cam bearings go out on my 4th Gen 2019 Ram Classic with the 5.7. at 90,000 KMS (60,000 miles) I exclusively ran 5W20 PP and Mobil 1 EP filters and changed the oil when the oil Life monitor called for it. under warranty, they replaced...

A gripe (first world problem) and an observation

Hey folks, as the title states, I have a gripe and an observation to share. Both of these may have been discussed already separately in other threads that I haven't read, and if so, I guess you can disregard :) First the gripe. has anyone who's truck has the Sport "performance" hood that comes...

    Idle hours

Lots of stories of Police 5.7's needing cams, lifters, etc. suspected to be from extensive idle hours, I think I'd run away from that truck unless it was priced VERY accordingly. my $.02.

Anyone change the mid muffler on the GT?

I believe "passive cold-end exhaust" is what you mean. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who's done this as well, if strictly for information purposes. my GT is PLENTY loud for my tastes, and my neighbours would appreciate it even less on cold Canadian mornings than they already do...

    NOCO GB40 Booster Pack.

yeah that's sort of my expectation. but im thinking if there's ALMOST enough juice left in the battery it may be enough to get it to crank over a couple times. hopefully I won't have to find out the hard way someday.

    NOCO GB40 Booster Pack.

I wanted a bigger model like the 150 however my Canadian Pesos only go so far these days.

    NOCO GB40 Booster Pack.

Thanks for the reply. I have used various NOCO products and have had good luck with them. I have a set of quick connect eyelets on my ATV and the lawn tractor so i can quickly hook them up to my Genius 5 charger/maintainer. it works great. sadly the lawn tractor battery is kaput and won't...

    NOCO GB40 Booster Pack.

Hey Folks. I recently purchased one of these NOCO GB40 booster packs. I got it for a decent price on sale at a local Box store. I have used it several times now on my lawn tractor and it works like a charm for that. Has anyone had cause or opportunity to test one out on our trucks? I know a...
