It's definitely in there now. Though the info isn't 100% accurate. For example, Crutchfield says the Focal 6X9 above won't fit in the front door, but fit in the rear. I saw in the reviews that someone put them in a Ram 1500. They fit just fine.
Another thing is if you select the base 6 system...
It should be under warranty because I bought it new about 6 months ago and it has 4300 miles on it. I'll see if they will get me the part # on the old one assuming they actually change it and don't just tell me they couldn't reproduce the problem.
I'm testing whether cooling down the flash...
Ok, I made an appointment for my first service and put the part # in the appointment request, 68397098ae. Probably should have made the appointment a few weeks ago so it would still be hot enough to make it fail. Hoping for a heatwave for when it's in service lol.
Also asking them to fix the...
If you put your truck specs into Crutchfield, it will suggest 3ohm speakers which will sound pretty good. I started with the Infinity Reference when I didn't have an amp. Any of those 3ohm options would be good.
I was looking at reviews of higher quality speakers. Since I'm not very skilled, figured I should stick with a 2 way 6X9 because that's what my system is already tuned for. I saw that I had about a week left on my 60 day return policy with Crutchfield, so replaced my front Infinity Reference...
I bought it for towing and as a DD and family vehicle. Also because I wanted the last V8 that I'll probably own. I rarely have much in the bed. In the 5 months I've had it, it's been used for a few home depot trips, never nearing 50% capacity. The only thing appealing about the longer bed was it...
I'm on my third short bed half ton, previous two were F150's. I bought the latest Ram about 5 months ago and passed on one that had the longer bed. There was one in my area that had the options I wanted. Ended up passing on it because I don't really need the extra cargo space and figure it would...
Milestar Patagonia are complete garbage, especially if you plan to take them offroad. Maybe they will hold up ok on the street, but here's what can happen when you take them wheeling. The tread starts coming off. Seen this on multiple offroad vehicles in CA.
275/60/20 seem to be the most trouble free size to run 33's. I haven't decided if I'm going to stick with 20" or go to 18". If I stick with 20", that's the size I'm going to get (no lift or level). Might try to get a set of Rebel 1" suspension take offs (or BTS). I like that height.
Other sizes...
Subscribing because this is happening to me when it's hot out in my '23. Most of the time I can't listen to USB on my ride home.
So there's no other ports in the truck that might work when it's hot out? I'll try to get them to replace the usb hub when I take it in for it's first service. I'm...
Update on my system: I had an amp, sub, and line converter installed and now it oddly will stay on the same track I leave it on. It often loses that I had it on random, but I'll take it. Not perfect though, because now I HAVE TO leave it on USB, or it will lose it's place. So if I am playing a...
I would look for a driveline shop in your area. Call them and see if they can fix it. Many can rebuild a driveshaft.
If you can't find one and want to order a new one, I would get one from Tom Woods. I just received a new custom DS for my 06 wrangler, it was $339. They would just need the...
I also don't really see the need to have two trucks that are so similar. Makes sense to eliminate the classic.
With inflation during the Biden term and post Covid, makes sense that less people want to commit to a new truck. I bought a fairly no frills new 2023 about four months ago and the...
My previous truck was an F150 with a nice spray on bed liner, nothing yet for the Ram. I had a 2X6 cut for the similar slots and it's too short (only by an inch or two). Just checking to see if it fits put some new scratches back there. Since 2X6's are now more expensive than they used to be...
I do this at least a few times per week in the morning when I get to work and haven't had my coffee yet... The most annoying part is when it goes to ACC mode. If you hit the start button again just once, the truck starts up. If you hit it twice fast, it will shut off.
I don't mind the...
One of the Facebook groups I belong to is great for 5th gen audio: 5th Gen Ram Audio Upgrades
Though they get a little snobby sometimes haha. The favorite boxes on there are the Fox boxes: FOX ACOUSTICS LLC
Lots of options for single sub, double, ported, sealed, etc. I was tempted to get one...
Most will want the 5' 7" bed. Especially if you've never had a truck before and not using it for work. I'm on my 3rd truck and always get the shorter bed. Just easier to get into parking spaces, backing out, parallel parking, etc. For the most part, if you don't have a need for the larger bed, I...
