    What are you towing?

That picture was actually when I was picking it up from a guy in Virginia. I always liked them in my high school/college days, but never had one so I decided I cant' leave the earth without having experienced one. It's nearly forty years old, so it doesn't ride like a modern vehicle, but it...

Ram Rev Delayed To 2026 Ramcharger Due 2025

I saw that picture online but am not enough of a gearhead to be able to envision it inside of an engine bay. The version I saw highlighted some of the components and showed that an electric motor was adjacent to the engine, so that obviously takes up some of the space. What is the silver tank in...

    Towing with the rebel EcoDiesel

I'm not towing as heavy a camper and have a Limited vs a Rebel, but I've found that getting the WDH right makes a world of difference. I'm a pretty cautious driver and I feel every real and imaginary problem when towing. I've had my WDH improperly dialed in and 55mph on a calm day was a little...

Ram Rev Delayed To 2026 Ramcharger Due 2025

I'm curious what the engine bay looks like in the Ramcharger setup compared to the same truck with just the 3.6L gas engine. Is there more empty space? Less? I suppose the A/C etc... are powered by the batteries. So fewer belts coming off the engine?

Payload rating and trying to decide on the right truck

There used to be a way to see a trucks payload by its VIN code. When I was researching our truck, I'd look on dealer sites to find trucks as close to what I was going to order as possible. Then, I'd take their VIN off the window sticker and plug it into the payload-by-vin site. I was able to...

    Bakflip MX4

How old is "the old Bakflip?" I have been really happy with the one I got in 2021.

For those with Off-Road Group Package - Questions

I should have noted that I have the 20" wheels. I did not get the Night Package.

For those with Off-Road Group Package - Questions

My 2021 came with the Falkens but they are not the ones you see in the tire store. The tread pattern is less aggressive. Maybe it's different now? Still, I like them. I can't speak to snow traction though as I haven't had to deal with it in any amounts worth mentioning.

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

I picked it up today. I haven't had time to look it up but he said they tried to run it through warranty but this particular part was not part of the power train warranty. That surprises me as it's not really a wear part. I have a good relationship with the service department so I kind of hope...

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

I don't know. I've actually had it before where they don't tell me it was covered until it's time to pay, so we'll see next week.

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

Just for reference if anyone searches and comes across this topic. I took it in to have the dealership evaluate the clamps I put on (one I could not get through the hose's "belt loop" because it wouldn't fully open) and to diagnose an odd hum noise that began at partial throttle (RPMs and gear...

    Should you engage 4WD periodically?

With vehicles, I'm stuck on old habits that may or may not still matter. I turn the A/C off 15-30 seconds before my destination. If I have a turbo, I let the car/truck idle for 15-60 seconds before turning off. And, I try to engage 4WD and 4LO (on the proper surface) every so often just to keep...

    Kinda cool product…….but price, yikes.

Seems like some manufacturer used to have a setup where you routed the cables over something and it held the tailgate at half open?

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

Well, it happened again. Next clamp up the line. Must have gotten a bad batch. Edit: This time was under full boost. I don't think it was last time. Question for the board. Should I tighten a clamp very tightly? Or do I need to back off a little for expansion?

    Rear Squat With Nissans Towing

Ever since I got a travel trailer, I've paid more attention to other people's setup as they go by on the highway or I see them in parking lots/gas stations/etc... I have noticed that a good 90% or more of the Nissans (and Infinitis) I see towing any sort of camper or cargo trailer look like the...

It was up here, underneath the shroud.

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

Assuming I am looking at the right pipes (left and right side of intercooler. At the bottom) they are attached but there is some wiggle play at the connection points. Also where one pipe goes over the engine at the center of the engine bay.
