The bumper is a separate harness, so that should be easy as well. BUT, my bodyshop broke the body side plug to the bumper harness, and mine is held together with a ziptie now. Clean the bail handle before trying to rotate the disconnect. Yes, it is all cheap crap.
Got the Wolfstorm preliminarily installed Saturday, I'll try to add pics later today. In summary, it is a very low quality unit. It has about 40% of the needed welds missing or incomplete, shipping wore off paint in many places, and there is no primer under the paint. You get what you pay for...
Technically, the 2500 is still 4th gen sheet metal. They may be close enough to work.
You may be able to adapt it to your truck, or any other part # if things under the hood don't scare you. Would you consider any universal fit snorkels then? Wish I had more help.
If it felt better in aero, you probably need to adjust the WDH again, in aero mode. When you lowered, you got more tongue weight transfer (spring bar action) to the truck front axle, so you didn't have enough at NRH.
Thanks for the clarification guys. I don't think I have that piece anywhere else then either, and I guess I don't know what my tailgate does with the door locks.
And the reason I had to change it:
All the cracks made the bumper too floppy to use.
Thanks for doing this work Darksteel. Sad that a FCA engineer got paid to program crap like this. I would think gear zero is a release of hydraulic pressure to make stopping easier (in winter) and smoother with a tight converter. In an auto trans, without hydraulic pressure applied to a certain...
Got the Wolfstorm in the mail yesterday, gonna need some cleanup grinding, welding, and repaint, but it's still a nice unit.
Backup lights came with it, but I don't think I'll bother with them at the moment. No comments on backing into somebody again! 😄
Anybody know if Tradesman has a key...
Update on my slight accident. Plastic rear bumper couldn't be pulled back into any reasonable usage, so my body guy called for a price - $900 for the plastic bumper (out of pocket, at fault). Uh, no. So I'm looking in earnest now.
'19-'24 will be the same IN THE 5TH GENS.
Now, the 4th gen continued on in production also, so that is the question that you need to ask Trakmotive.
Any love for RCV?
I pulled a dump trailer half full of shingles and other non-burnable-in-town plastic trash to the dump. If your trailer dumps, they send you to the top of the pile, and you drive around on trash to a spot they point you to to dump. Now, trash does not hold your weight like solid ground. In 4wd...
Costco said the same, altho they really wanted an upsell at the time, one yr old. I have no idea how anyone could pay $12 per nut; that's ridiculous. Shop around.
The upgrades from your crappy situation also likely cost the insurance co' less than OEM, so they probably say sure for that reason. I like the idea of strength, but I got etorque already cutting into payload, that I wish I never ordered, so I probably am looking for a slimmer, simpler design. I...
Apparently political. A 5th grader could see that the quote was because all 5 states listed are coastal states. Politics in mcds prices?
Would've got more respect if you left politics out of it.
