The tire width is not the problem, and it is far enough "up under" the bumper, etc to be concealed and protected. Only the diameter is questionable. Check other threads for max tire diameter.
Just as an aside, I got a new Compass for the warranty part wait, and when turning a corner, it also takes about 2 seconds to find a gear. It is obviously an EPA thing, trying to be in too high a gear for mpg, yet you put your foot down to accelerate from the corner like your an older driver of...
Called on it.
FCA suggested a 48V battery pack, out of service 5/20, ETA 6/27.
Been looking at new trucks, I'd go Ram again with a healthy trade in and Mark Dodge discount for a low trim I6.
Did you go back and tell the idiot?
I once had to show a dealer tech how to put oil cooler lines back in the holding mounts. The service mngr gave me crap sayin it was good enough for a 3 month old truck warranty repair. I had to explain to him that an owner that builds racecars outranks a...
My tradesman has HSL very bad also, especially when stopped trying to pull out in heavy traffic, and it is already in first gear. I have learned to powerbrake for the takeoff. It does also have HSL when turning a city corner, hunting a gear, and if the wife isn't in, I let it spin and hit...
Suspected BSG, dealer stumped, FCA engineer supposed to help diagnose next week. Was replaced in December. Phase reflash was apparently not it back then.
I asked for a dolly to pull a Freestyle to the junkyard with a '04 GMC 1500, with a tow rating of 6000lbs. Wouldn't give that to me, but made me get the full trailer. Freestyle 4100lbs, trailer 2200lbs, dolly 200lbs. Yeah, just tell them it's a civic. 😄
At 11.6V, you will get a warning message on the center dash screen that says all nonessential electrical systems will shut down. Sorry, I was a 1/4 mile from home yesterday when it came on, so I don't know how long it would run after that. 😄
Service writer pulled a code from history, didn't say...
Got it to the dealer 1/2 hr away on one battery charge, headlights off, radio off, hvac off, etc. Was showing 11.9V when I arrived, with CEL, batt light, batt warning, low gauge. When moving into the service bay, everything!!! went back to normal. Writer did get a code from history for DC...
No, the truck didn't die, presumably because I was a 1/4 mile from home when it went to electrical limp mode. The dash warning indicated that all nonessential electrical was shutting down. I have no idea how long it would've run ignition/ECU only, or what amperage the 48-12V converter puts out...
I hate to think that, but conventional wisdom says you're right. But, a lot of people have had battery failures while driving, so I'll check this first, before the weeks wait for the dealer. The problem I hate to face, is if it failed enough to drag the whole system, it sure put a lot of heat...
So my battery died while driving yesterday. 11.6V on the way home. I seen mention of H8 fitting, can someone confirm that? Looks to be about 18 inches long??
Not sure if that was a question for me, but since you compared to RC, I'll give the Wolfstorm credit for "trying" to use the factory plate lights. I did need to file the holes to get them to seat into the bumper. Their included brackets to hold the lights in seemed to work after some massaging...
Realized I owed a pic to this thread.
Zoom in to see the 2 small button head screws above license plate light. 2 more hidden per side to bolt together 3 separate pieces, with foam in the joint. Not much welding on the face, but does need additional inside. Needs a couple of carriage bolts...
