At the start of the year my Sorento was stolen then used in a crime spree. Unreal feeling that has me adding layers of prevention to the truck, the latest being a kill switch.

Hit a massive lightning storm on the express way. Big chunks of hail, thought it was going to total the truck. Got lucky and was able to get under the overpass. Absolutely insane stuff.

First time hand waxing the truck. Coming from 15 years of owning white / silver vehicles I forgot how much pop you get from the darker colors. I also forgot how much work it is :)

Similarly I'm a believer in using cosmoline on my vehicles and trailers. In preparation to coat my 21 ram last week I bought rust conversion with the plan to touch up any rust I found, let dry then coat over everything with rp342. Got under the truck and it was mint so conversion wasn't needed...

Yup they were brand new and have the rubber. As another member mentioned, if I place a floor matt underneath it should help with the issue. Putting it in 4 wheel also helped.

It started raining afterwards.

Crawled around under the truck for a couple hours spraying cosmoline. What a mess, but I love that stuff. First time really under her and she is clean with next to no rust, a rare thing in NY. Also a first time using ramps, and might be my last. Was a pain in the butt.

Prepped and ready for applying corrosion protection tomorrow. Should make for a fun morning 😔

Yes undercoat it! Use RP342. You can get 6 cans from Amazon and pay your mechanic to spray it on. I went ocd and did a lot of research, this is this best stuff .

Works pretty good, but I unplug it when getting out at home to avoid connecting to it while I'm the house. Regardless, worth the $40 or so.

Oh man, that sounds terrible. My daughter just recently grew out of getting car sick and projectile vomiting so the truck has been safe. I've also banned the kids eating in it since the last time I pulled the car seat out. Absolute mess.
