for our two mountain bikes I turn the handle bars parallel with front wheel and lay down in the truck bed gear cluster side up. that way I can close my Bakflip cover.
nav works great for me. dont want a bunch loose items to fool with so I prefer built-in nav. only have had gm and ram so dont know about others. turned off the annoying voice before I left the dealer. to the poster above, there is a place in settings to set the default scale. I prefer the zoom...
did you take out or slide back the console. I tried to take mine out to get under it and after taking out the two bolts on each side, something in the front was still holding it so I gave up for now. thanx for posting link. I think it will do the trick
maybe so but I kept my 4x4 avalanche 10 years and it never even had a squeak. it was paid off for 5 years and I got 20,000$ trade-in. so I didnt do too bad on that one. I am hoping to get many good miles from my laramie but it is probably just a crap shoot.
I have a little over 4000 miles on mine now and I got 18 on two trips last month from DFW to the mountains of northern new mexico and back. cruise on 78. nice to see over 600 mile range after fill-up. my 2017 sierra 4x4 ccsb 5.3 with 3.42 rear end would only get 19-20 on same roads so the ram...
I tow a 6000# 28' travel trailer with my 1500 ram. the whole rig with me and fuel weighed in at 11540# with 620# of it on the hitch. pulls well from a stop and brakes are great...my trailer has 4 wheel brakes...but is a load for sure. I added Helwig sway bar and I add some air to the rear tires...
This is what we have. 28' long. hitch 550#. wt. about 6000# when on the road. the 2019 ram 5.7 hemi with 3.92 rear end pulls it great but I dont think I would want anything longer.
yes the payload numbers are usually the limiting factor. mine is only 1324# so I have to pack light. I went CAT scales and had everything weighed. 550# on the hitch with trailer hooked up...
I am curious about this myself as I accidentally slid a cd into the slit between the console and the cd player. it was night time and I was in traffic so I missed the cd slot. now the cd is down under the dash somewhere and I cant get it out without removing the console. I am hoping someone has...
I would say get the 3.92. that's what I have and the truck pulls my 6000# travel trailer great. you can add air bags later if you want. there are many after market ones to pick from. my son added rear ones to his 2017 ram for under 100$
my nephew had a 2016 tundra 5.7 4x4 with the 4.30 rear end. it pulled great but got 7-8 mph towing and had a small gas tank so he had to stop often. I think the newer ones come with 38 gal. tank so range is better. they pull great but like the rams they have less cargo capacity so he traded for...
I have towed my travel trailer a couple times with my new truck. it has the 20" oem wildpeak all terrains. longest trip so far in this truck DFW to palo duro canyon..350m each way. I put a few more pounds in the rears and I stay right around 69-70. tows great. my 28' trailer is about 6000# when...
one of those roll-up dense foam mats like for backpacking and a sleeping bag would be handy. I have a friend who is able to get a cpl. hours of nap on long trips while his wife drives by sacking out on the back floor. handy on those 13-14 hr. drives from DFW to Durango or Breckenridge for skiing.
I have used my phone to do remote start and unlock. I think that app has some other features too. I have sirius but I dont remember if you have to have it for the phone app to work.
