    Trans tune corrupted PCM

The tuner sent them my log files nearly a week ago and I haven't heard back yet.

    Trans tune corrupted PCM

They haven't offered to do that. My guess is it actually isn't the PCM that's effected as I originally thought. The PG3 says it's writing to ECU, which I don't think it can actually do since it's locked down. Probably just dumb verbiage in its software. My dealer has said they are working on...

    Trans tune corrupted PCM

Anyone dealt with PCM issues? I used an Alientech PG3 to tune my trans. I successfully flashed the transmission twice - once with the tune, then again back to stock. The third attempt was to apply the tune again, but after a few seconds, the write process errored out and seems to have corrupted...

    Ebay clone bumper steps

Here's a few photos of the clone step before I chucked it in the trash last week - had been sitting in my garage. Been running the Mopar step for awhile and zero issues so far. Meanwhile the clone looked like this...

    ‘23 MY Steering Wheel Change

The only true "changes" vs your 19 are the digital dash and HUD - everything else was an option or related to the new interior you chose. Dash is all-new. HUD was added/optional in 2021. Your last interior was frost, not sea salt - that is new since 2022 and the cloth inserts are merely styling...

Waiting a month now for etorque. What to do, truck is not driveable according to dealer

Please provide a source because it sounds like you're pulling crap out your rear-end. Is it right? No. Is it illegal? Doubt it. Dealers sell damaged-in-transit cars as new all the time without any disclosure.

    Comma.ai

I have been using Sunny's test build for months and love it. I disagree with the idea that laneless is the best - I keep it on auto most of the time. I only force laneless when on roads with poor lane markings, or if using in inclement weather that is reducing vis/covering the lines. If the road...

    DEF injector cleaning

Interesting. I'd be a bit more worried about build-up inside the pipe & SCR, which I don't think you'll be able to clean out easily, so for me, I'll just keep running Platinum and hope it works as advertised.

    DEF injector cleaning

You should run Platinum DEF for the next 30K and see if it makes any difference. How easy/difficult is it to remove the injector? Haven't seen anyone talk about doing it.

    Winter front poor design

The intercooler is in the always-open grille below where the cover sits. I don't run a cover and it's certainly not needed. Yes, you'll retain heat and get better MPG. The active shutters do help, but they are not as effective as an actual cover. But these covers will tear the crap out of your...

TAZER DT for 2019 RAM 1500

Mine is mostly working fine, but I've had a few weird things happen while running it. TurnCam has come on a couple times while driving even though it's disabled, and I had to reboot the screen to make it go away. My cruise control has spontaneously cancelled, and interior ambient lights turned...

How many miles on your Eco diesel?

The trip meter does not retain MPG data - it too is a rolling average. If you want long-term MPG data, and ACCURATE data, use Fuelly to manually track your fill-ups.

How many miles on your Eco diesel?

The MPG calculator is, deceivingly, not a lifetime average. It is a rolling average over the last 500 miles or so.

    Winter blend fuel....in Florida?

This is stupid and dangerous. Maybe don't buy a new truck if you can't afford the fuel.

    Ebay clone bumper steps

I'm not playing "what if" with every situation relating to the step. I'm merely saying it's a pretty safe bet the OEM step was actually tested and built within a specification to be safe and reliable considering it's a hell of a lot easier to sue the manufacturer if it breaks and causes injury...

    Ebay clone bumper steps

I don't think you even need to go that deep. Stepping up and it breaking would suck, but I'd be really worried about stepping down from the bed and it breaking unexpectedly - broken bones maybe, but if you bash your head on the way down, could be bad. I'm up north so more of a concern for me...

    Ebay clone bumper steps

Thanks! This is exacy what I wanted to see. Just ordered the Mopar one and should have done that to begin with. I'm all for saving a buck when it makes sense, but something that could literally kill you if it breaks (step failing with you on it) ain't the place to do it.

    Ebay clone bumper steps

That might be a bit of a stretch. I'm sure it'll eventually rust, just like the truck will. But if it'll take years instead of weeks for that to happen, I'll gladly pay for the Mopar step. Just wanted to see what other people with it had to say.

    Ebay clone bumper steps

Can someone with a Mopar OEM step verify if theirs is showing any signs of rust on the hardware? My eBay clone is only 3 weeks old and I'm wondering if it's going to turn to crap real fast, or if it's just some surface rust that isn't much to worry about.

    Low oil pressure

What are you basing this information on? Because I have heard from someone else in the 3rd gen EcoD group that the 3rd gen engines DO have a real sensor, but the prior gen didn't. Would like to know which is accurate, but so far nobody has proven anything.
