yes I actually have those on order. The Laramie Badge kind of already had the flat black with chrome outline so the 4x4 did look a bit out of place still all chrome.

You can use 4wd where there isn't much tight turning, but it will create some added wear to the system over time. I don't use 4wd high on dry or even wet roads, I Have good tires and have never had a need to use 4wd on wet pavement.
Very true. The same people that don't want to spend a few bucks on something that is not broken and still working. They would rather wait until they have a major failure or a much bigger repair bill rather than do the maintenance up front.
You may think it's sealed but some moisture will find it's way into the system over time. Just because it looks new does not mean it is, you can always buy a brake fluid tester for less than 10 bucks to test the moisture level.
I finally installed the Matt black overlays, took about 2 minutes. Still has the outline but just enough to blend in with the other bits of chrome still on the truck.
yea, the strips at the top and bottom are not the DRL's, they are accent lighting. They are dim enough that they don't have to turn off when the turn signal is on like if it was a true DRL.
Yea, that is the one part I hate the look of on the truck. Being there are alignment holds under the letters you can't remove them without body work and a repaint. Not sure if your's are Chrome or not but if so you could replace them with black ones or you can get vinyl overlays. I...
I think gloss black would look unique and would tie into the gloss black door handles, grill. and mirrors. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with color matched.
