My wife and I decided that we really like the new truck. So we went ahead and got an extended Mopar Warranty from one of the two big online sellers. Much cheaper than getting it at the local dealership.
I don't figure we will keep this truck that long. But it's good to know it will be...
Just pulled the trigger on another one of these for my new 2025 Ram 1500 4x4 Limited w/air ride. Here is the American Truck out-the-door price on 4 July 2025 with an extra veteran's discount and 5% "AT Cash" for my next purchase:
I've had several of the hard covers, but never a soft one before. So I don't know how to compare. That said, the factory soft cover that came on our new Limited was indeed cheesy. Very little protection from water. No protection from theft. Flaps in the wind and cause noise when going down...
Our new truck came with one of those. My solution was to replace the whole thing with a BakFlip F1 hard cover. We got tired of listening to that soft cover flapping in the wind.
Here is the American Truck out-the-door price on 29 June 2025. Anybody got a current review with an air ride Limited?

What a great thread!
Got our BakFlip F1 hard cover in yesterday. It said on the BakFlip website that it was for a Rambox bed "w/silver rails" but I didn't know what they meant. When attempting to install the hard cover on our new 2025 Limited, that came with a Mopar soft cover, the BakFlip...
Sticker price was $89,395. But I ended up with about $10,500 in incentives, and about $33,000 for trade in on the 2021 Laramie minus the $10,000 still owed on it. Financed about $56,000 at 3.9% for 72 months.
Payments would be $871.94 if I paid the minimum. I'll likely pay $1,027 per month...
HO engine in the truck we got seems pretty weak when I called on it. I have a feeling the dealership filled it with 87 octane fuel before we left the lot. I just love dealerships.
We will have to see. I've got a lot of adjustments and add-ons to make it like my wife wants it. Right now...
Found a copy of the manual online. I believe this is the primary point. The engineer is likely correct. However, the warranty needs to be considered. The manual is more definitive on this than I imagined. No allowance is made for 87 octane fuel in the HO. Looks like 91 octane will be the...
Found this article on the question. While the high-output version calls for premium fuel, the chief engineer for this truck says it runs fine (albeit less powerfully) on 87 octane...
Good point. Maybe I'll just get myself a cabin in the woods and a bicycle for the wife. I'll need somewhere to stay after trading her Laramie for a bicycle. 🤣
Going to the dealership this afternoon. We will likely come home with a new Limited for the wife with the 3.0L I6 Hurricane HO Twin Turbo. The literature says it can run on 87 octane fuel if not used for towing and high performance. Is this true? My wife is 58 years old. She does have a...
