I did the 2 inch mopar lift in my driveway in 6 hours and at least 2 of those hours was spent adjusting frame height on jack stands so I could lower the rear diff far enough to insert the spacer/coil assembly. Another hour was wasted by trying to apply final torque in hard to reach spaces under...
5 years ago I bought the used, basic, bottom of the line RAM 1500 with a payment that could afford. After lots of hard work/good decisions/and robbing Peter to pay Paul, I could afford the truck that I want. 84 months at 0% with green sheet price and dealer rebates was just too good to pass up.
Sounds like your dealer is slacking. My truck is in the shop for about a week waiting for a new transmission control module and the dealer has called me every day. I did have to wait 2 days for a loaner to be available but I have multiple vehicles so I didn't really need it, but the loaner is...
With mechanics, high price doesn't always equal knowledge and ability. The guy that quoted $680 might have a ton of experience installing lifts and knows he can do it in 4 hours (which is about right and = $150/hr shop time with $80 for an alignment) while the guy with $1k quote has no idea how...
s-type without resonators is a good sound. Not too loud, but definately there. I'm not a huge fan of overly loud exhaust though, almost like your trying too hard.
I had installed the diablo unlocked PCM with hemifever tune and was driving without issue for a couple weeks then suddenly the truck would not ship out of park and all kinds of errors/codes popped up. I reset TCM and put factory PCM back in before I had the truck towed to dealer.
They told me...
I discovered this drain issue while installing tow hooks. While unbolting the passenger side frame bolt underneath truck, a decent amount of water came out of the bolt hole. Kind of odd to have it weep there with no hole for it to drain
I dont think the touring is much louder than stock if you keep resonators. You can have a shop cut/weld your old resos on or buy new ones from borla that just bolt up.
I have the mid loudness borla on my truck without resonators and it's the throaty borla sound but you can only hear it in the...
I have LineX and like it. It is slippery by design to make maneuvering large objects easier by way of less friction do if you want grab, you'll have to get a mat of some sort.
This was all broached a few years ago and it came out that FCA allows up to 2 inch lifts regardless of manufacturer with no warranty involvement but can't find the thread now.
I have not heard of anyone ever having trouble getting warranty work done because of MOPAR lift, and MOPAR has been...
My biggest point is a mopar lift has no effect on factory warranty work of any type in the US. If you put a lift and big tires on and your u-joint goes out, that will be a warranty repair. Claim cannot be denied on the basis of the MOPAR lift as per the documentation I posted. Just wanted to...
I can also verify no trimming is required for 35x11.5 grapplers on stock 20s, even with full wheel well liners, but its tight. I think 35x12.5 may require a little trimming if you want the wider tires.
It is the standard 2" kit. It does have spacers that were included as part of the new rear coil assembly, but I didn't use anything that didn't come in the MOPAR box except some rust barrier used where I drilled out a required hole for installation
It is of note that my post was the USA warranty only. The warranty may vary up north based on differences of consumer protection laws as the original poster was based in Canada. Regardless, I'd suggest he find a new dealer.
I really liked the factory blackout rims and saw most aftermarket options as a downgrade. I took a more level picture for you to judge and can verify with non ORP springs, truck maintains a 3/4" rake as measured from top tread to fender.
US LLC Lift is covered by 2 year unlimited mile warranty OR factory warranty, whichever lasts longer. Following pulled from MOPAR warranty literature
