I seem to remember that if the CEL is on, it will start, and shut off after a few seconds, once it completes its checks. The RAM may be different, but that's how it was on my charger.
my bighorn fits in the garage with about 4" in the front and 2" in the rear. My wife had to switch me spots because the entrance to the house was on my side. I wouldn't be able to get in and out of the house if she didn't switch me. Her Accord fits much better :)
That was a body shop, rather than the dealer. But I'm sure there's validity in your statement! I did check mine, and it appears to have the same paint "tint" and metallic flake in the little pieces below the headlight, as expected.
You won't hurt anything by leaving it off. If you roll the truck or take a hard impact to the side, that may yield different results. I would be doing the same thing though, especially if they "couldn't reproduce the leak" as they tell you. Good luck, and I hope a good resolution comes quickly!
I had a black dodge charger that had this same thing. It's a difference of material, is what I was told. The fenders had like a greenish tint to it if you held a light to it, whereas the plastic parts were completely black. It would bother me if I noticed it. I'll have to check mine when I leave...
I was the one to show my dealer the leak. If you're getting water up there, it's either the STAR case issue, or in my case, I had a bad door seal in addition to the STAR case leak. I had to hold the hose at the TOP of the windshield for mine to leak noticeably, maybe try the same. I would see if...
I did try that, but I have the same results. The passenger side moves considerably less air than the driver's vents. If I close the driver's vents, it just gets louder in the passenger vent area, but doesn't actually blow more air out the passenger vents.
Does anyone else notice that the passenger air vents seem to have less air flow than the drivers side? I can still feel air blowing out the vent, but it's not near as strong as the driver's side. Just curious if anyone else has this or noticed it. I made sure the vents were pointed straight out...
I used 4WD Auto yesterday for the first time. I, too, noticed that it took a bit more throttle to get moving. I could definitely tell the front axle was engaged. I just put it back in 2wd when I saw the road conditions were fine. But yes, I noticed it.
