I did the same and scored the liner. Rather than prying them out from the front side, I pushed them from the back and the liner broke cleanly along the score line. You can reach them from behind if you remove the tail lights.
I finally got the part installed. The first one the dealership received was cracked. I think it looks much better body color with the aftermarket grill.

My luck, mine will fail in 6 months and the local shop who has been there for 30 years will go out of business and I’ll be buying the Amazon ones too! Lol.
Normally I ask here before doing a mod. I learned my lesson!
Always a balance, right? Sometimes you’re the dog and sometimes the fire hydrant. :). I’m happy with my lights and know my local shop will make it right if I ever have an issue with them. I do like your “single switch” set up though.
This forum is a great place to learn about what works for...
Yeah, that’s the downside, they are expensive. That said, they are supposed to last. I bought the longest the shop had, 60 inch. They sell them shorter as well. With the swing cases, I wanted to get the light all the was down the bed.
I installed the factory LED bed lights today. Realizing my swing cases would block most of the light when they are in the bed, I also picked up some “Access LED Lights” from my local truck shop. They highly recommended them. They attach with 3M tape and I ran them high under the bed rails...
I was able to knock this out this morning. I originally ordered a different light and the connector didn’t wouldn’t seat fully preventing the light from working. I then ordered the one linked here and it works great! Thanks for the tip on this modification. I like the blacked-out look when they...
I just want to thank swing4terps and Duane for your help. Installed my led bed lights with the harness terps suggested and they work flawless, just like from factory. No running wires up to cab, just plug and program. Thanks!!
I agree! Thanks fellas! I ordered the parts from BAM, installation...
I bought and installed the factory LED 3rd brake light. It is expensive (~$400) but includes a camera (you can add the mirror and cable to make the camera work) but the 3rd brake light is nice as a stand alone unit too. I went this route because of the quality issues reported with the recon...
I thought about it. I was going to have the frame painted the same metallic black as the grill appliqué. Instead, I bought a new grill appliqué that I am having painted body color. I think the truck looks a little funny now with the painted black appliqué and nothing else painted black on the...
Does anyone know if it will work with the painted power folding mirrors? It looks like it should.
Also, can you post a link to the ones you ordered? There are several options on Amazon. Thanks!
