Then you are fine. But as in my case, with weight on the tailgate the left is still slack and not carrying any of the load. Again, not a problem if the cables are only holding the weight of the tailgate. Also at the price of these trucks, things should be right.
I bought a 21 Bighorn 5.7 on 11/30/20. Drove it home at night and couldn't believe the noise for a new vehicle. I kept trying to close the passenger side windows. Even checked to see if doors were open. The truck doesn't have upgraded tires nor a sun roof. I've been scrolling through the...
It's an older, 04 Cherokee I purchased in 04. It has the 4.0 straight 6. It went out at 60K. The replacement was definitely a remanufactured crate engine. That's why I am curious as to what these guys are getting when they say, " they gave me a new engine ". Somehow I don't think they are...
On my 21 the left side cable is slack putting all tension on the right side. Found this, that gives part # for replacement correction. This Bulletin was for 19-20 models, but apparently is spilling over into 21's. If it's just holding the weight of the gate then no problem, but in my case...
This guy has taken a keen interest in the 5.7 lifter problems and the MDS. I'm not sure if I'm hearing him clearly, but sounds as if he advises using the mds for oil circulation.
I've noticed several posts like this stating, " a new engine replacement ". I'm curious, is it a new engine, ( like a brand new factory one ) or is it a remanufactured crate engine like you would purchase elsewhere. I had a Grand Cherokee that they said was getting a new engine and the...
B-2 Fab I believe is a site sponsor, as their ad is in the right margin on this page. Securityguy gave me a discount code for 10%, so I bought directly from them and total delivered price was like $256
I have a 21 with 300 miles on it and an after market exhaust. When I rev the engine a bit, say to 4K and let off the engine seems to take for ever to return to idle and sort of flutters on the way down with no exhaust note as the engine seems louder than the exhaust from in the cab. Why does...
Thanks for the link to the other thread and the info. What did you do with the weathertech pad, or is it no good now as the adhesive has been used?
Their site says the weathertech is only 1/8" thick. Was that the case with yours.
Just put the B2 oval moderate on a 21 Bighorn. To me, (subjective ), I like it better in tow/haul mode as it comes alive at the first shifts without having to get on it.
Has anyone purchased and installed the Weathertech tailgate cover. They claim it is molded to fit the factory screw holes etc. If you have one, is that true. I'd prefer that opposed to just a rectangle that fits so so. Thanks
Well, I'm back. Spent a bunch of time in the truck experimenting. The tow/haul mode when engaged while eco light is on, turns it off immediately. And no matter what speed or rpm level I chose the eco light would not come on while in t/h mode. T/H off and eco back on. So if what most have...
