I was able to verify the LCA bolts are both torqued to spec (105 ft/lbs)
Two of the four front sway bar bolts had 3/4 - 1 full turn in them. So i tightened those and took a close look at the bushings, which looked fine.
I decided to pause and just stick with making one adjustment at a time to...
Same.
I sincerely hope it’s something as simple as the fellas above have said when your shop looks at it. 🤞
I THOUGHT i had all day tomorrow to do odds and ends to the truck.. ew wipers / mud flaps / drink beer / torque random bolts / ect. But my kids came home with a notice that they have a...
Ill try to tighten the LCA bolts today and if that doesn’t do it, I will try your suggestion with the swaybar for sure.
This dang clunk is so frustrating because the day I made my initial post I could re-create it over and over again consistently. Yesterday on my way into work it only did it...
I went out and checked all of the torque specs and everything is at… Or more… Than the spec.
I used this thread for reference
Now my question is, is it possible to over torque things could that be causing the weird creaking noise. It only happens when accelerating after a stop.… Which is...
bare with me for not doing a forum search…im posting on my phone and its a pita to do forum searches on it.
I installed the 5100’s on all four corners a few months back and had no issues with the install or after. Got an alignment done and the truck has drove beautifully since.
A few weeks...
if its brand new it still needs to break in, and the miles until empty needs more data to build an accurate picture of how far you have until you dead in the water. That combined with winter blend gas will add up to lower than expected mpg easily. With my 23 Bighorn it took a couple thousand...
In the Jeep world it was all about side wall strength… So a lot of people went with D or E rated tires for the added sidewall rigidity. I think the load rating depends a lot on how you intend to use your truck.
For example:
The primary purpose of my truck is a highway rider and a trailer tow...
nice! youre adding weight to me wanting to throw the XHDs in the truck this spring
As far as leveling or raising with the shocks....I JUST went through this with my 5100 install a month or so ago. I landed with leaving the 5100s set to stock ride height. Loaded my truck sits about 1in higher in...
I can x2 how great those fellas are. I got a set of the 351-891HDs thinking MAYBE they'd be okay. They were okay but not great, and the truck didnt have the loaded stance I wanted. When I ordered the 893s they were phenomenal about the return process for the 891s. The site I linked is less...
If you pull a trailer the cargomaxx springs are your best friend. I also have air assist bags in but never use them anymore. The 351-893HD made a massive improvement loaded and unloaded.

ive used fluid film on travel trailers and trucks for years. it works for me but I am in DE and we dont salt our roads nearly as much as the more northern states. So it may be that it works well enough for us but wont perform as well for say mid and north PA or NY
I have 110,000ish miles on my Gladiator (3.6 engine) when i traded it. I towed a LOT with that engine and pushed it pretty hard with a heavy trailer, the engine was basically flawless....just under powered IMO. Some guys on the jeep forums had timing issues and such, but I think that was do to...
I’ve been really impressed with the HD springs but obviously I’m a little curious if the XHD would perform the same without a load but better under load. How would you say the drive feels?
Michelin Defender XL tires. Youll be happier than ever with their performance in all weather and towing. The only drawback os they dont look cool…but after years of wasting money in the jeep world I’ve become a function over form guy and i cant complain at all with them.
No real impact on mpg...
