My wheels were finally p-coated on Friday, and were supposed to be clear coated yesterday (but didn't hear back, so ??), so I haven't reported back yet.
I did buy the 285/60R20 Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascents (will be 84lbs with my Fuel wheel), so I'm almost certain my Eibach/ORP spring combo...
Which Fox are you on??
Unless I misunderstood, you have the Fox 2.0 COs that come as a complete unit (don't reuse the tophat or spring seat)??
I feel like most people feel those are buttery smooth(??).
You are basically now on an OEM 20" wheel/tire setup..which aren't great! These are super...
@Morenar @mplaramie
Interesting, you both are running Fox 2.5 PEs in front and Fox 2.0s in rear..and it seems that 4L/5H or 5L/6H are the sweet spots for you.
Based on your info, if I go with PEs, I think I would try a scale of 3L/4H, then 4L/5H, then 5L/6H, then pick a winner to dial in the...
@boogielander
Another thought...
A full Thuren suspension package would run $2400...
Front UCAs, Rear U/L UCAs, Rear Panhard, Rear Swaybar Endlinks
Thuren tuned Kings run $4105 for.. Gas Hemi, 2.5" lift, F&R Adjusters, Std Silver Reserviors, Stage 1 or 2 custom valving.
I've frequently heard...
@boogielander
Thanks for all that great experience insight!
I had wondered if Accutune would really do anything for me since I'd be asking for a plush on-road setup that would seem basic..that money is better spend on beer, ammo, and Thuren rear UCAs(big smile)!!
Plus, members here are...
I ordered the Etsy tool to help with that..may get the Range knob if the tool isn't what I hope.
Getting closer to get the Fox PEs.
After the first painter f-d my parts, the fender flares are back ffrom new painter and are perfect! They'll have my Fuel center caps done soon also.
Rims are...
For $15, I can run my Ram on a CAT Scale to get a Front & Rear weight measure for Accutune to use.
The Adventure Tune would be what I'd have them custom tune off of.
In for a doller, in for a grand! 🤯
I'm currently debating...pay Accutune $4100 for tuned Fox 2.5 PEs (probably not worth the $$ for street driven only) or buy standard Fox 2.5 PEs for $3100 from generic seller...pretty sure standard is sufficient, but any thoughts one way or the other??
Today I'm checking if wheels are done powdercoating. Then tires mounted. My OEM Mopar fender flares are will be painted within two weeks, then on..once I'm set and satified with them, I'll start ordering suspension..Fox PE DSCs, Thuren F-UCAs, and Carli Rear Swaybar Endlinks. Currently...
Keep in mind...Fox actually says..if the Low speed setting isnt giving enough Digressiveness", give the High a click or so to boost the Low Speed valving...so the Midpoint sweetspot seems very valid!!
I'm super happy to hear the feedback from you all..I feel like 5L/7H sweetspot might be the magic number..everyone has their own idea of what they want though..but, I'm really leaning into the Fox PEs now after your feedback!!
Anxious to hear more👍
https://accutuneoffroad.com/articles/fox-new-dsc-evo-adjuster/
This article discusses the Fox DSC vs Fox DSC EVO Adjusters..it gives a LOT of insight into the workings of the Adjusters.
The main shock piston is Progressive or Linear/Stacked Progressive, and the Adjuster is Digressive valved...
I remember reading a Fox or Accutune article that said the valving changes get more pronounced and precise as you crank them up...the graph I added does seem to bare that out.
The difference from 1L/1H to 5L/7H isn't very much..both are fairly Progressive, with 5L/7H being a bit more Linear...
