That's how I use mine too lol. If i'm on the brake but just barely enough to keep it in the auto "stop" mode, sometimes slipping out of it and not being prepared I'll feel my truck lurch a little from just the etorque. I'll time this to move quick from the brake to the gas pedal to get a good...
That sounds pretty good, but maybe a little high pitched? I do like the raspy tone. I have a Borla S type and it's pretty deep sounding with only occasional rasp. No drone at all, even in eco/4 cyl mode it almost can't be heard in the cabin during normal driving. When accelerating it'll get...
I agree with what's been said. Recalibration should help out. When I first put 35"s I noticed odd shift points and the truck wanting to get into 8th gear early. I didn't have any 8th gear vibrations but I do at 35 to 40mph. Regardless of gear. It's just the nature of my tires and how they're...
I have a 2021 with etorque and mine is pretty responsive off the line. As in, I move my foot a hair on the brake pedal and the truck restarts and will want to roll forward a bit. I don't notice a delay at all from gas pedal press to response, like I have in other electronic throttle vehicles...
I've been playing with the idea of replacing front and rear shocks to improve my ride. Ride is pretty smooth and the stock suspension absorbs bumps pretty well, but with larger/heavier tires now I have an issue with my front and rear trying to slide and washout when I hit rough bumps at speed...
Yokohama Geolandar MT 295/65r20 fit the stock night editions wheels. 2.5" level and no rubbing anywhere. That's what I went with.
Are those swapped out flood lights? I've been wanting to change mine as the stock ones simply don't cut through fog.
I have 2021 Ram bighorn 4wd. Not ORG or anything. Installed motofab 2.5" space and put 295/65r20 on stock bighorn wheels. Fit's without rubbing.
Only thing I had to trim was a small piece of the thin, flimsy plastic inside the front passenger wheel well. The liner was warped from engine heat...
I have 295/65r20 on stock wheel. Taller than a 35x12.5 but more narrow. As said above, a 12.5 wide wheel will not fit without needing a spacer to push the wheel further out. 12.5 wide on stock offset will rub on the upper control arm.
35" tall tire though, fits just fine with room to spare...
I've had aftermarket CAI before and I've felt a difference. It's subtle enough that you question if it's placebo, but I think it's legit a small boost in motor response.
2016 silverado with 5.3 was a real dog, but i installed a S&B cold air intake. I wanted more engine noise from the firewall...
I have the motofab 2.5" leveling spacers up front. I had a lot of rake stock, and the 2.5" seemed to get me practically level. Went with 295/65r20 Yokohama Geolandar MT's on stock wheels. Fits without rubbing and ride is still very good.
I have a K&N. Recently installed it around 15k miles and it seems to have sealed up well without any gaps. I pulled off the carbon mesh screen too after reading a few posts mentioning it. May not keep it forever, but I did seem to notice a fraction more pulling power under high rpm shifts. It...
Appreciate the response.
I may have to try that app out. In the past i've video'd myself running 0-60mph then did timestamps with a video editor. I've had some pretty "quick" times with stock wheels, and only slightly worse (0.5 second so maybe not so slight) 0-60 now with 35" tires.
I have a 4x4 and don't plan to ever truly go offroading in it. I'll drive on dirt roads and forest roads, beaches, etc. But as for actual offroading or mud riding, I don't plan to destroy this truck.
I had a 2016 Silverado Z71 that I put fox shocks on and bigger tires. I probably kept this...
So honest question, has anyone driven both a 3.92 and 3.21 to feel the off-the-line comparison? My truck has 3.21 gears and feels torquey off the line, but in 2wd it just spins and goes into traction control before it does much. 4wd auto and a warmed up engine and it feels pretty quick without...
Only 2.5" motofab level. No other mods, no spacers. Stock wheels. I think even a 2" level would be enough, as height isn't the issue with these tire sizes it seems. It's width of the tires and how close they get to the front and back of the wheel well. I clear that just fine in mine.
