Delay I guess is torque converter delay. Hit the gas and it responds quickly, just isn't immediately moving. I have 295/65r20 Yokohama MT's, so they're heavier and taller than stock. Have more of a delay now than I did stock for sure, so maybe I'm forgetting how quick stock was.
I did stall...
No for me the delay caused my times to be worse. The delay in the app/GPS caused my speed to not show 60mph on the app until i'm well past 60. At that point i'm backing off the throttle.
Also, I find the digital speedo skips and at time won't match 60mph the same time the analog one does. Like...
Yeah I just tried it too during my lunch break. Huge delay from when I'm seeing 60 on my "analog" speedometer and the app. I'm at 60mph and the app is still at 45mph. Then my times were like 8.2seconds. Tried another app called Drag Racer and that one was even worse. Stop watch i'm at 6.5.
So...
I was reliably hitting ~6 seconds in my truck when stock. 2021 Lonestar with Etorque, 3.21. Auto 4wd dead stop pulls I could hit back to back 6 second runs on one stretch of road with multiple stop signs. I had a Borla S type but did no tune whatsoever so really it just sounded cool. A time or...
Surround sound is an option for my XM. Do you have the 12" screen? I can select it on or off, and when on XM sounds really good. For a stock vehicle audio system at least.
I have 35"s with just a front 2.5" level. Looks good, drives good, and power loss is really a non-issue. I also have 3.21 gears and was worried about going too big/heavy with tires, but was pretty surprised just how little it affected things. I actually have 295/65r20 on stock night edition...
Yeah I use spotify almost exclusively too. For years I had the free version and told myself I would never be one to pay for it. But those ad breaks wear you down. Every so often they'd do an ad break and say something like "click now to watch one ad and have the next 30 minutes ad-free". After...
The 5.2L engine makes 760HP and 625lb/ft when tuned for the Mustang. For the Raptor they've just tuned it for torque. They could easily have listed the 760HP and 640lb/ft torque numbers as both are true, just have different tunes for different drive settings.
I'm sure the Raptor is quick too...
Just the motofab 2.5" leveling spacer did it. The strut connects from the truck down to the lower control arm. Leveling spacer goes on top the strut, making the strut longer. Now the lower control arm is being pushed further away from the truck mount. Now the truck sits higher.
The upper...
I have a 21 Ram with just a 2.5" motofab leveling kit. Non-org suspension, so maybe 1" higher than what yours is stock?
I have 295/65r20 that come out to 35.1x11.6x20. Installed on the truck it measures more like 34.8"x11.8" with Yokohama Geolandar MT's. No rub. Only concern was with the inner...
Awesome. I have the S type and that's how it went for me too. Many videos back and forth between Touring, S, and Atak. All sounded good but no true impression of volume it would have. A few places I read reviews that the S type and Atak were both equally loud, just had different tones. So I...
Yeah as others have said, almost need more info before recommendations.
I have a 2.5" motofab leveling spacer. Bought from amazon for like $65, had installed for me at a local shop who also mounted new tires, etc. It could be done by yourself, i've done more difficult suspension swaps in my...
Ah dang. Well in that case I'd definitely buy them and then do whatever it took to make it fit.
Might fit as is but might also need spacers. Maybe not 2" spacers but just enough to clear everything. Either way you're saving over $1000 between tires and mount/balance.
What about the guy...
Yeah looks good. I say 37"s seem more proportional as I like stuffed wheel wells. I have 35" tall tires on with just a 2.5" front level. They're 295/65r20 so tall and narrow. Tends to make them look normal sized.
You feel a big difference in acceleration? Have you had your tire size...
Yeah I'd say so. Seems like 2" would clear you from the upper control arm setup but not sure how the 13.5 wide would then do on the front and back side of the fenders.
Stock wheel offset would cause even 12.5 wide to rub. Tire would rub inside against the upper control arm.
At least this is true for stock height and up to 2.5" level/lift. I"m sure the geometry of the 6" lift will move the UCA further away from the tire, but not sure it would be enough to...
I've seen 35x12.5r20 fit on a larmie with ORP. Fit the wheel well OK, but rubbed on the control arms. But it was minor.
That said, you should be able to fit 33's easily. So i'd try a 285/60r20.
I have 295/65r20 on my non-orp truck with just a 2.5" front spacer. Fit's well and the 2.5" lift...
I don't think you'll have a problem. I have 2.5" leveling spacer in front and fit 295/65r20 on stock 20" night edition wheels with no issues. No rub. Tires measure slightly taller than a 35x tire does, but only 12" wide or so. With stock offset I only had to worry about my tires touching the...
