I just put on a replacement Pulsar that they shipped a few days ago because my first Pulsar kept throwing a check electronic stability control code. No charge for the updated unit so long as I ship the old one back to them which I’ll do Saturday.
I really like the Pulsar’s performance mode...
Put the new Pulsar on last night and drove about 60 miles today in performance mode, which is about the only mode I use. The new unit did not throw a code and performance mode seems to be exactly like it was with the original Pulsar which I’ll be shipping back to them on Saturday. Fingers crossed.
Thanks. My new one is being delivered this afternoon and I'll put it on this evening. I'll drive with it for a while and, like you, report what's doing regarding throwing codes, etc.
I put Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my stock Longhorn wheels with no level or lift. I like a little raked look. See my signature below for the size wheels. I get a little bit of rub on a full lock turn, but it’s not that bothersome. It seems it now just depends on whether you like the look of...
So I took the Pulsar off the truck this morning and have driven quite a bit today. The service electronic throttle control code has not come on. And recently with the Pulsar, it’s been coming on multiple times a day. Must be the Pulsar. I’ve sent them an email and I’m hoping they’ll send me a...
Before I would purchase a particular truck, I would take a small HVAC thermometer with me and put it in the center driver's side vent to check the temp. Put the temp on low with the recirculating feature on. Fan setting of about 3 or 4 and drive around for 15 - 20 minutes. Even on mild days...
So the truck threw the service electronic throttle control code yesterday afternoon. Stopped, turned the truck off, started it again, and all was fine except the check engine light stayed on.
When I got home, I disconnected the negative battery cable and disconnected the two big connectors...
I've noticed the rears will slip a bit in the rain in two wheel drive if I give it too much gas while turning a corner. I don't know if they slip more than other AT tires or not.
Still running mine 99.9% in Performance mode. I like the extra umpf that it gives the truck.
I occasionally getting a service electronic throttle control code which puts the truck in some kind of limp mode where the throttle doesn't work correctly. I can turn the engine off and back on and...
Let us know how this turns out for you. I've had a Pulsar on my truck since about April and haven't had any issues. Although, the truck does occasionally alert to an issue with the electronic throttle control. If I turn the truck off, and then right back on, all but the engine light goes off...
I think you'll be fine. I get a slight rub but only when full turns with the steering locked either to the right or left and it's mostly when in reverse. But with the ORG, you should be fine because I think your truck sits a little higher than mine. You'll like the Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
It may be difficult to fully check, depending on where you're located and the outside temp now that Fall is here. But a lot us on here have poorly performing ACs. That may not be a big deal for those who live up north, but here in Central Texas, it's not good. A lot of us clamp off the heater...
Similar set up; similar results and impressions, Captain.
My signature below has the details. And I also have the LockerDown which is great.
I pretty much run mine in Pulsar's Performance Mode (MDS on) all the time. I just like the power and the shift points. And no issues with the Pulsar...
