Exactly the same. Calling to return it tomorrow. It’s happening to everyone’s unit eventually, best as I can tell from here and insta. There is a design problem.
Check out @ksn240 post above... Looks like fifth GEN struts are longer than the fourth GEN struts, but maybe more importantly the spring seat on the fifth GEN struts is quite a bit higher to clear the 4wd CV axle.
My wild *** guess is that you could maybe swap your kings over from a fourth GEN...
Thanks for digging that up, much appreciated. My first guess looking at my truck side-by-side with a fourth GEN is that the spring seat on the fifth GEN needs to be higher for the strut to clear the CV axle.
Unfortunately it looks like the highway Cloverleaf of suspension is just a little bit...
My back still hurts from my desert run yesterday LOL.
With that in mind, Does anyone know if the 4th Gen front coil overs and rear struts are the same length/spec as the new 5th Gen? If so, I figure the 4th Gen King / Fox / Icon OEM replacement coilovers/bypasses should also fit(?).
I’ve got...
Wasn’t ever considering an icon setup until I saw @expeditionoffroad (insta) running whoops in his new raptor with them. Unreal... looked like a 4 link truck!
Agreed! Probably some non-compete contractual stuff going on for Fox & Bilstein... makes sense. If King is on board for the TRX we’re totally screwed :ROFLMAO::cry:.
Haha no way! Yours turned out great!
I should have gone ahead and done the full 3.5” ready lift that you did instead of just the 2” + UCAs. Called up readylift - I can get the preload spacer but they won’t sell me the rear hardware separately.
