There are two different deployable bed steps---with the standard tailgate, there is an available bed step mounted at far left of the rear bumper so when the tailgate is lowered, the bed step can be lowered and there is room to step into the bed (this is a stand-alone $195 option available since...
I forgot to mention this---when I retired a second time in 2011, only the selling dealer was required by law to perform warranty work according to our service manager; don't know if the law has changed since then.
This is why one should buy from the dealer where the truck will be serviced, even if it means paying more for your truck; I was service advisor/warranty administrator at a FCA dealership after my Army retirement and if a customer bought from us and a part was not available, we would remove the...
Thanks for the info @Cravenfan---so you have a 2020 Limited with the standard tailgate and bed utility group & there was no deployable bed step included? The Ram build site states not available with multi-functional tailgate, but looks like no available with standard tailgate either.
The bed utility group includes a deployable bed step, but states the bed step is not available with multi-functional tailgate; has anyone heard when the bed step will be available with multi-functional tailgate? This is not the same bed step that was a stand-alone option for the 2019 Ram's...
On the Ram build site, the option for bed utility group Includes the deployable bed step but for the Rebel trim it shows "NAW multi-function tailgate". Does this mean not available with multi-function tailgate? Has anyone with a 2020 Rebel with bed utility group and multi-function tailgate...
If the outside mirror and back up camera are not enough, all you can do is lower the driver door glass and stick your head out. Some folks have managed to run over themselves with door open and backing up. This is a standard safety feature.
When building a 2020 Rebel, I compared price of the Rebel 12 package to the stand-alone leather seat option, 8.4 navigation and Alpine 9 speaker system; what a surprise--that trio of options would cost $540 more than the Rebel 12 package; so for an extra $540 you get the same leather seats...
I like the look of Laramie with night package--those are the first black wheels that look good to me; but every time I selected night package, my standard hemi engine selection reverted back to standard V6 e-Torque.
Best to purchase FCA warranty, whether from dealer or online; some of these third party warranties require you to pay repair costs out of your own pocket and then request reimbursement from the warranty company and other companies will not authorize repair until they send one of their people to...
Was in mid to upper 90's most days last month here in L. A. (Lower Alabama). My son's August 18 Laramie build is as cold as any vehicle I have driven and I started driving in 1960. Getting into a vehicle that has been in hot sun you should always crack a window a couple inches for first few...
I just checked the 2019 Ram 2500 build site and the 2500 Longhorn does have a stand alone blind spot and rear cross-path detection option for $595---perhaps this option will be added to the 2020 Longhorn 1500.
I like the red interior trim highlights on the Rebel trim, but keep the standard cloth seats all black; it would be nice on the black Limited interior to have an option for color trim highlights to match the exterior color of the truck--this would help break up the sea of black in the current...
