For the Laramie and Limited, when the FOB won’t work, the next question is whether the “key card” will work to open the doors? I realize this doesn’t help if the Big Horns ….
They use the chrome for the precise issue expressed here: The black ones chip, and eventually they get surface rust where they chip.
I put black on my Laramie. I'm very careful about not hitting them with an impact, and that seems to have kept them look good so far. But, if it's a work truck...
Well, 500 miles on the odometer, and the wife backed into imy 2025 Laramie and FUBAR’d my front bumper. Is what it is, I guess.
My local dealership can have a new bumper tomorrow and paint it on Monday. Here’s my dilemma…. I can install myself and save $700. More important than the money, I...
Just clicked on this. I have the multifunction tailgate …. glad to have the option but actually wish they had done the RAM lettering instead of the Ram head. To each his own ….
My 2025 1500 Big Horn is being bought back by Stellantis for 1001 electrical issues. One of the things I never addressed, coolant is disappearing from the reservoirs, with no obvious external leak. I have had to top off both the main reservoir and the turbo reservoir 3 times over the 8500...
How did that K&N work for you? Seeing it in your video, I found it on Amazon …. and the reviews are mixed. The complaints about the clamps I can get passed — but the reviews stating it tripped codes make me take pause.
At 8k miles, my 2025 is the same way. Some of its coolant has magically disappeared also. It's being bought back under Lemon Law, so I haven't been too worried about it.
As for the color, though, I assumed the yellowing reservoir also plays into how it appears.
It was definitely the water pump (not the thermostat) on mine -- the dealer was able to see it with a borescope. While the pumps are on national backorder for 45+ days, we were able to find one of the few left in the country at a dealer in Texas. They are shipping it to us. God willing, total...
I got reimbursement for the aftermarket parts also. And, to be clear, the sales taxes, registration, and all associated fees of the purchase are being reimbursed. However, we also have biyearly personal property taxes here, which I have come to learn aren't normally reimbursed unless the...
Well, thank you for your legal advice. As it happens, counselor, personal property taxes are not normally repaid under the negotiations/buybacks in my state unless the vehicle has been in the shop for a majority of the year in which said property taxes are levied. If you have experienced...
I'm in the process of a Lemon Lawsuit, as well. Filed the suit in November, but just settled on a buy back price in March. Waiting around for their third party "surrender" company to reach out and arrange the surrender date and location. The slow pace is frustrating, but really only hurts...
Don’t worry guys. The 2026 Ramcharger will be out soon, and everyone will hate on it and it’s growing pains. Suddenly, the Hurricane will be the safe and relatable option.
I'm not there with this new truck (yet); I really like it. I have to take it in for a Virginia inspection anyway (purchased in Maryland), so I was always going to make the trip. And, with this matter, I'm blessed to have a general idea of the issue, e.g. water pump, thermostat, gasket, etc...
Whether you think it credible or not . . . there is a rating for top tier based on the cleaning agents. Google it. I understand your point (and respect your experience) though that it might be BS. The reason I hedged by saying there might be a number of other factors involved with the rating...
Around me in Northern VA, most of the Sheetz have 88 octane that is E15 and 10 to 40 cents cheaper than 87. I have run it for years in all my vehicles that require 87 or higher. It advertises its good for all vehicles 2001 and later requiring 87. I noticed my 2025 Ram now even says E15 and...
Thanks, guys. I hope it is the thermostat leaking, as that doesn’t sound like a big deal (video says a 2 hour job), and I don’t think they are on back order anymore. The Jeeps appear to have had stuck thermostats though, not leaking ones.
Where is the thermostat located on the SST? The fluid is very clearly coming from the water pump area; it is dripping down on the AC compressor, before making its way to the frame and then ground. You can see the purple/pink residue on the compressor in these photos, along with one “active”...
