I have found it to be exactly like my 16's ASLD when not engaged as have many other owners with the locking diff. While it technically an open diff when not locked, I personally have not experienced anything but LSD type behavior from my e-locker. Extremely pleased with the 19's updated diff...
Sway bar link or upper control arm bolt going click-clack when the the suspension travels up and down the locking nut arm is clicking against the frame.
I've been changing all filters with the oil change schedule... until I checked my cabin filter recently (and it was intense) I've decided regardless I'm going to change them early spring and late fall... few extra bucks a year but worth it long term.
So, with the sway bar tightened and the anti-slip tendencies of the locking differential, you're going to have to practice slow cornering in slippery conditions. Nature of the beast, I'm afraid. If you want less excitement, a Laramie with an open differential and 3:21 gears would be more satisfying.
Sitting at the dealership once a week in a cold snap or more if you're really unlucky, just to have the shop thaw the truck and top up the nitrogen... yeah, you really outsmarted FCA on that one. Sorry, I just value my time very highly and anything beyond the initial time of delivery/sale of the...
Owners manual says 7 quarts, that's what I get out, that's what I put in. I use K&N Gold oil filters, helps they have the hex nut on the end... otherwise it's a P-I-T-A to get the oil filter off a 5.7 Hemi in a 1500. I've always used Royal Purple full synthetic from the first oil change on all...
I was thinking the same thing... then thought it's possible he's already at 50000 miles. My boss did 40000 in 16 months... he wasn't happy when his air ride died in his second winter, just out of warranty.
I have had 6 months of winter experience with my 5th Gen and I can say with great confidence you would have no issues in any form of winter weather. The stock Duratracs are great in snow/slush and the LED headlights and windshield/wipers all performed in all conditions, down to and including...
Had my Rebel for over a year now, very heavy foot and I maintain a decent 14.5mpg combined average. Started at 11mpg combined at delivery and has only continued to improve. I do very little highway, another reason for the lower overall average.
I found its a "must do" project if you're going on the highway or live in a wet climate. This should actually be a TSB in all seriousness. Owners shouldn't have to take apart the tonneau cover first week of ownership.
But it does work well after the adjustment... just should be adjusted like...
That's a valid point (I corrected it for you) but it still doesn't change the fact that the oil pump is off and the constant start/stop will have some effect on engine longevity. What that impact is... to be determined I guess.
I totally agree. We all forget that FCA's first responsibility is to shareholders and the bottom line. Risky super expensive offroad race trucks are an enthusiast market, or more accurately an aftermarket demographic that big corporations stay away from, in a way. Yes, we are seeing a trend in...
Pano sunroof all the way. I don't believe in stop/go tech. Try turning a lightbulb on and off constantly for a while... it burns out much faster. What do you think happens to the starter and engine. The most wear you'll put on an engine is starting it.
Sunroof... more vitamin D from the sun...
