Are they encouraging you to buy prior to then? When FCA was ending the Lifetime warranty, those websites were urging people to sign up before hand. I'd be curious if they are hinting at the same here, or just noting major revisions will occur. You could also email Clay Robbins and see if he...
Noticed pitting on my rear fender flares last night when hand washing. I have mudflaps as well. I've been on gravel about three times at 10 mph for a mile or so. Pretty crazy to have this at 6K miles. I guess I'll try to put on PPF before it gets worse.
Edit to mention this Carhart version is made by Covercraft.
My Carhart one arrived from autoanything. I haven't had a chance to use it in the heat yet, but I'm satisfied with the fit. So small openings around the middle sensor, but I think it works. Pics attached.
I apologize if this has been asked before. I did search for it and looked in the manual but came up empty. Possibly didn't use the right combo of terms.
When my power side steps auto deploy, if they hit something will they automatically stop and retract? At times I can see being close to...
My measurements were very close to yours, I just checked. But mine has zero wiggle to the left and right, unlike your video. I would try the adjustments other posters have made. It seems like tightening down some bolts or adjusting latches is the key here.
The Flex is great of course. I would take small exception with the not allow you to perfect a finish with a "light duty polisher." You can achieve a perfect finish with a PC or Griots DA, it will just take you more time than a more powerful one such as the Flex. Just takes a different combo...
I have the TruckGear (LineX) version of the MX4 and it absolutely does not have this issue. I went out and checked and I cannot slide it over and unlatch it. I have to open my tailgate first.
You spray the whole thing. IronX was one of the first, but now there are many manufacturers making similar stuff (Adams, Mckees, etc). I have it and have used it, but don't typically do that regularly. You can take off surface rail deposits with a clay bar safely without needing IronX every...
Yeah I'm just a home user for my vehicles and an occasional friend, so not a power user. But enough to make me switch, even though I knew it was an anomaly. My nonprofessional opinion is the Griot has a bit more power. But similar overall.
I use a Griots 6" random orbital. Lifetime warranty.
I used a Porter Cable for several years until it literally sheared off. Scared the crap out of me so I switched. However, it is extremely popular and I'm sure I was one of the very few to have a problem.
All of my chrome had those spots starting as well after winter. I used Simichrome, which took it right out everywhere with just a microfiber towel. Supposedly leaves some protection behind but I don't know about that...
Would it have, or is it still, possible for you to test drive another truck with air suspension to compare? I have air suspension and have not experienced anything like what you are describing on my RAM. On the other hand, I have had that "floating" feeling in an old Lincoln Town Car with air...
Mine worked great when I first bought it. They are hit or miss now. I just turned it off and went back to doing it manually as I got annoyed waiting for the wipers to kick in during rains.
I'm using 303 aerospace protectant on the cover and 303 leather on the interior.
I'm not sure about that sealant, but when I put down Menzerna or similar sealants, I try to avoid rain for at least 12 hours to allow a full cure.
