    Hemi Update - Ordering Open

I’m glad they’re bringing back the Hemi. If you could get a non-etorque version I might think about upgrading. I’m not really a fan of the “symbol of protest” though.

Leather dash lifting away and crating bubbles, seats peeling

No product containing the word Armorall will be used on any of my vehicles ever again. Too many bad experiences with it in the past. I don't care what new products they may come out with, I have zero trust in their products.

    Ram Box silver cargo rails

Haha, our factory cover is still sitting in the garage. For over five years now. With about an inch of dust on it lol. The black rails were traded for the silver ones so it's a little difficult to sell the cover by itself. But I can't get myself to just throw it out.

*HEMI UPDATE* 2026 Ram 1500 Factory Orders @ MARK DODGE

Thanks Anthony, I appreciate your willingness to share a little of what happens behind the curtain. (y)

*HEMI UPDATE* 2026 Ram 1500 Factory Orders @ MARK DODGE

Not as clear as it could be. I don’t know what a sold order is as defined by the Gold Book, but I know that Anthony wouldn’t intentionally mislead anyone here. So if he’s saying we would only need to place an order before 9/2/25 I believe him. Although I'm a bit curious to know the guidelines...

*HEMI UPDATE* 2026 Ram 1500 Factory Orders @ MARK DODGE

That contradicts what was posted on another Ram forum, but I’m not sure where they pulled it from… “1. Excludes Fully Electric vehicles. Applies to 2026 model year vehicles. Non-transferable. Visit Mopar.com for complete details and a copy of the Powertrain Limited Warranty. Take retail...

    Ram Isn’t Saying NO To A 5.7-liter HEMI® RHO

Back in 2020/21, when the TRX first came out I was asking for a TRX with the 5.7 Hemi. Basically a TRX appearance package. I didn’t need a truck with 700 hp but I liked how the TRX looked. And I figured a TRX appearance package with the 5.7 Hemi would be more affordable. But an RHO with a...

    New member questions!

Welcome! I like the mods you've done so far. My only complaint is the angled pics LOL. I have no idea why people do that. Maybe you can let me know? :p

*HEMI UPDATE* 2026 Ram 1500 Factory Orders @ MARK DODGE

This 10year/100k warranty is a big fat nothing burger unless you're able to place an order right away and hope to hell it's built and you can take deliver in basically 9 weeks. Add to that the fact that it's non-transferable and it's nothing but hype.

    Air Suspension Compressor Replacement

Seven model years in since the start of 5th gen 1500's, and the failure rate for air suspension is much lower than it was for 4th gens after seven model years. As with all air suspension systems, it will eventually fail. But is seems the redesign Ram did on the air suspension for 5th gens has...

    high milage hurricane engines..?

If I’m not mistaken, Jeep actually used the Hurricane engines in the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, not the Cherokee. Wagoneer got a SO version and the Grand Wagoneer got an HO version.

    high milage hurricane engines..?

What would you consider high mileage? They’ve only been in Ram 1500’s for one model year (2025). How many miles can a guy put on his truck in one year? The most I’ve heard of someone driving in a year is about 100k miles, but that was on a different truck forum. You might check out some...

    Orange Peel

If it's bad enough you might be able to get them to fix it (or have it fixed by a local shop). I've seen a couple cases where the orange peel was severe and was covered by Ram. The best thing to do is negotiate that into your contract before you actually sign all the paperwork. Once you sign...

    Cigars

Thanks for the quick review. I think the novelty of them would make them great to have on hand for the 4th.

    Catch Can

You’re right, that fact slipped my mind. So I should have said the oil level indicator, which is basically showing between full and 1 quart low. Substitute that for what I posted about the dipstick full and low marks and my post is still valid.

    Catch Can

I can't tell you what normal oil consumption is on either Hurricane engine. I'm assuming when you say it's down to 3/4 you mean on the dipstick. Which means it's down about 3/4 of a quart. That could be normal in a new Hurricane after 3k miles. Other owners might be able to give input on...
