What's the best practice for putting on the spare for stock Rebels?
The situation: Had my first flat in the woods this weekend. Still running stock tires and wheels, so yes, the Falken is 1" smaller than my other 3 DuraTracs. I got a flat tire on my driver's side rear wheel. I was towing my...
Mine isn't door-dependent, but if I have my phone and my keys in my pocket at the same time it gets fussy occasionally. When they're in separate pockets it works every time. Something to check for your variables, but that may or may not be helpful.

I'm the exact opposite. I keep my tank at exactly 5/8 full at all times. I drive gas station to gas station putting in anywhere from 48 to 64 cents of gas at a time. It's the sweet spot for Max mpg. And I blend 87 and 89 to get 88 octane.

I rather enjoyed the Commune series by Josh Gayou. It was a great Audible listen for my commute for a couple months.

Does it have electric trailer brakes? If no brakes, it doesn't matter. If it's super light and you don't own it, just put it on 5 and be done with it. There's a specific way to set it outlined in the manual, but for something light it will never matter, especially if you're borrowing something...
Not dolled up at all. [emoji16]
Believe it or not, the truck is black sometimes!

Poop. I actually use the cell phone holder to hold my cell phone. I'm looking at the cjc molded switch panel for the top of the dash.

In my manual, it's on page 282 (2020 rebel). Look at the recreational towing section and there's a blurb about putting it in neutral the right way. Requires a ball point pen apparently. I had to look it up when you posted this.

Yes, the tow hooks are for YOU to be towed in a recovery situation, not for you to tow in reverse. Don't tow in reverse unless you want to risk seriously damaging your transmission. The reverse gear is the weakest point. You can also use your truck as a recovery point for another vehicle in...
I like that feature too. I did have to remove the plastic molding along the bottom in front of the wheel well to install them. Free to anyone who needs them! [emoji16]

White knuckle rock sliders. Not really what you're looking for based on above conversation, but one of the only solutions for our trucks that can support the truck's weight. They mount to the frame directly. They are also $1500 and weigh 200+ lbs for the set. But they look legit. And I can vouch...
FWIW, I do a lot of towing, and a fair bit off-road. I don't ever wish I had air suspension. But I haven't actually had air suspension to compare. I like the way my truck performs.
