Yeah that "flap" you reference is likely what I'm talking about. I removed mine and installed a du-ha, I like the extra depth and the fact that it goes up to the seat bottom. I do like what you are showing me from the 2500, that could be useful.
Depends how you use your truck. If you are hard on it, it might benefit to go with the best you can afford. If you drive mainly highway I would have no problem using a quality reman.
If you’re referring to the factory under seat storage, I have one from my ‘22 that I can sell you. I don’t know how it compares to what a 2500 has, but it is an option

Just spent some time out playing in the snow that fell this morning. For most of the trip on the highway, 4wd auto was sufficient. There were a couple of times on two lane roads with drifting that I switched to 4hi, but it wasnt needed for long. 4auto is generally all you'll need.

If you can't change your truck/TT situation, please do yourself (and the rest of us) a big favor and get the best tires and brakes on the truck that you can. I don't think I need to explain what it looks and smells like when brakes go or a tire blows while 15k pounds is barreling down a steep grade.
Sounds similar to mine. '22 Laramie GT sat too low in the front for my taste. I swapped a set or ORP struts on the front, sits perfect now imo, ride is good. Also have a helwig on the rear.
