I am looking for someone who’s truck has adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance and lane keep assist to send me their configuration profile so I can compare it to mine. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
What exactly do you mean “activate lane assist”?
You added lane keep assist? What all hardware did you install? I’ve been working on adding this and adaptive cruise control for several months now.

lots of useful information in the thread too.
yes, and no. I had to take the truck in for an abs initialization because I couldn’t get rid of the parking brake warning light. I actually talked with the tech there and he’s interested in my project and is willing to help. Unfortunately I’ve been swamped with work lately as we are closing out...
DASM: Driver Assistance System Module - This is mounted behind the rear view mirror. You don't have it unless your truck is equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). It is a radar and camera unit combined in one. It controls ACC, regular cruise control, lane sense, and auto hi beams.
HCU...
will do. I’m determined to get it working at this point.
Maybe someone here might be able to help... right now I have a EPB warning light I can’t get rid of. The DTC is C2212: ECU in plant mode. I can’t figure out how to get rid of it. I’ve tried about everything I can in alpha with no luck...
yes, there is a way to do it but I’m still trying to figure it out. Right now I have all the hardware required installed on my ram (DASM, HCU, ABS, and Cruise Switch) the only question is the software side of things. I’m still having trouble enabling it with alphaobd. I believe a calibration...
as I stated before I’m less interested in the lane assist than I am the adaptive cruise control. They pretty much go hand in hand. My plans are to improve the stock lane sense and ACC to add full self driving to the truck through comma 2 and openpilot. I’m working with some of those developers...
I'm currently at a standstill. Right now I have a an ABS fault and a ACC fault that won't clear. I'm almost certain that running the calibration/aim procedure for the ACC module will clear these codes after doing a bunch of research on them. Alexey (alphaobd developer) is working on adding that...
glad you got it all figured out! I ended up turning the sound all the way off and rely on the LED only. I too did not like the sound of the noise.
Alpha obd has been updated since my original instruction document so i bet that's why some of the alpha options are missing or worded different
Anyone know if it’s possible to add the OEM power steps? I’m sure it’s possible. If anyone has any information such as wiring, programming, etc about this that’d be great. I’m aware of the AMP steps, but I’d like to give these a shot first.
The mirrors are plug and play. No additional wiring needed. This is what i did.
You'll still have to do the jumper harness and the short wiring portion under the driver seat if you get OEM tail lights.
I have no idea if you can add them to halogen tail lights or not. I don’t think I’ve seen it before, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. The only thing you still need to find out is the correct pins that fit into the connector for the other end of the internal harness. In the document you’ll...
So yes, i mounted it in the center best i could. I will adjust the angle now that i know what that needs to be. I played around with Alpha on windows and was able to connect and clear the DTCs for the DASM but one still remains - C2206. There isn't an option for the 2019 RAM calibration but...
The title of this thread is a bit misleading at this point but I’m trying to mainly get ACC working. If I can get lane sense to work also then that’s an added bonus. They pretty much go hand in hand
Okay so I finally got the new HCU and ABS Module in today. After a good bit of messing around on alpha i was able to get almost all the codes permanently cleared. There are only 3 that remain:
Steering Module: U148A
- I cannot find anything online about this code. It comes back immediately...
So I got the HCU in and I hooked it all up to the truck just without actually plumbing all the brake lines to see what would happen. The truck doesn’t throw an abs light but it does throw stability control and parking brake lights.
ACC and FCW lights are also on still too. I’m wondering if...
