    Falken AT3Ws in snow...

How much different as in what? For 275/55/r20 XL is 6 ply, 13/32" tread, 48.1lbs per tire D is 8 ply, 18/32" tread, 56.4lbs per tire If you move up to the 275/60r20 D range it's 8ply, 18/32" tread and 58.2lbs per tire. In my experience these tires wear like iron and last a long time, so I...

    Falken AT3Ws in snow...

I was a little torn at first mainly because I thought the deeper tread of the LT tire would look a little beefier. Weighing the pros and cons SL all the way for me, I've seen pictures of them on Rams (I had the LT tire on my 2011 Sierra 1500, but that was C range so it wasn't as bad) and they...

    Falken AT3Ws in snow...

Just an fyi, the SL version has 20% more silica in the compound, while both SL and LT have silica in them. I went with the SL version, but I don't tow. It depends how much you will be towing, another user said he tows his 3k lbs boat with no issues on the SL. The SL has a higher load rating than...

    Falken AT3Ws in snow...

Just ordered a set for my truck in 275/60r20 in the SL version. Can't wait to get them. I ran them on my last truck and loved them.

    Falken Wildpeak

You could go with the 275/60r20 still a P tire. That's what I'll be doing, I can't justify the mpg loss for looks on my kid hauler lol

    Falken Wildpeak

It is also worth noting, for people interested in these tires sake. I emailed Falken asking about the deeper tread of the LT tire vs the higher silica compound in the SL tire, this is the response I got. "Thank you for your inquiry! In regard to your question, there will be visual difference...

    Granite crystal metallic thread

Yeah that's something to think about. I wish they made SL tires in 285/60 or 295/60. I'll be keeping the wheels that are on it. From what I see those ridge grapplers in that size are 60lbs each. How does that effect your mileage? I have the 3.21 rear end which is another reason I don't want to...

    Granite crystal metallic thread

Yeah I saw that, although the SL version in that size has 13/32" tread depth. The LT version has 18/32". That's a pretty substantial difference I may opt for the longer life of the LT version. I wish there were more non LT options, a non LT 285/60R20 would be great

    Granite crystal metallic thread

I was looking at the Falken Wildpeak AT3W, since I ran them on my last truck and loved them. The LT 275/60r20 is available in load range D which is still heavy, but not as heavy as E range. The LT version of that tire also has like 5/32" deeper tread. The Wildpeak AT3W-A that came with the...

New to me, 2019 Big Horn North Edition. Added a Truxedo low profile tonneau cover and that's it so far. It has 20% tint too. I think I may eventually do a 2" level to keep a slight rake and probably 275/60r20 tires to go a little bigger, but not wreck the mileage.

What options are a must and what are a waste?

I love the North Edition I got level 2, the rubber floor liners are great for keeping the carpet nice, especially on my muddy road. It has the drop in bedliner, but I am impressed with how much traction the material has, nothing moves around in the bed. Trailer brake controller would be nice...

Tire Suggestions for 2019 North Edition

Yeah this seems to be the biggest size I'm seeing without going LT. I ran the AT3W on my 2011 Sierra 1500 and loved them. I'm definitely set on that tire, I think you will be pleased with it if you go that route. Some tires fool you with their tread design, the AT3W has full depth sipes, some...

Tire Suggestions for 2019 North Edition

Yeah I guess that size may be the go to. I had the "real" wild peaks on a previous truck and loved them. Those come in 275/60R20 in SL which is 4 ply. They also have D range in that size which has 18/32" tread depth as opposed to 13/32" on the SL tire. Guess my debate is the longevity of that...

Tire Suggestions for 2019 North Edition

I was looking for something like a 285/60/20, 33/34"ish preferably with the snow flake symbol for Michigan winters. The sizes I was searching on tire rack all showed E range only.

Tire Suggestions for 2019 North Edition

Looking for tires for my 2019 North Edition, it has 20" wheels with the Falken Wildpeak AT3W-A 275/55/20. I was looking to go up a size or two but I only see load range E tires in any sizes larger than OEM. Am I missing something or is that just how 20s are? I'd really rather not get 60+lb tires...

Off-Road Package - How big of a tire can I go?

Sorry for reviving this, I like this look a lot. Looks leveled as well? I didn't buy my truck for fuel economy, but I am curious what your average mpg is with this setup
