Schrader valves? I think you meant? That is pretty surprising if the system was never worked on before it left the factory. So did they clarify where the leaks were? They should have listed the parts needed to repair the leaking parts.
When you get the car back ask the SA to clarify which...
Wrong. Mant times the dealership SA dont know anything about such service actions until they are officially released and put into action at the dealer level. They might find out a day or two before such a program begins.
Care to post a reply with a probe thermometer in the drivers vent with max AC on,
Folks that post their car cools fine aren't providing any data to back it up, what might be cool to you might be warm to somebody else.
FYI with mobile AC systems in the modern day if the ambient temp is 95 F and...
I live in Anderson and getting anything done at "service providers" in the Anderson, Seneca, Clemson area is nearly impossible. Hardly any competent much less honest businesses here. Lol it is really that bad. Doesnt matter what service it is you need . you will be ripped off and the work either...
You may have changed. Lol
You really need to use a thermometer to know for certain. Posting like you have isnt helpful really. Buy a cheap thermometer and post back with vent temps. Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to post that reading ..automotive ac systens shoukd be able to easily give vent temps of mid to low 40s in your ambient environment....thats not acceptable for a modern vehicle ....
That's because your Altima AC is working very efficiently, and the RAM unit isn't. Most correctly operating modern car ACs can get down to about 41-42 even in 100 F temps.
I'll be just as interested to know the cause of the issue with the new Rams as much as how they will repair the issue.
Once the heat soak is gone, recirculate is always the best way to go for the coolest interior. The only down side to recirc air is it can become stale, and also the oxygen level might be a bit lower than using fresh air, but usually this is insignificant most of the time. It is always advisable...
If folks could do all others a favor with this problem, get a inexpensive digital thermometer with a probe and measure the vent outlet temp in recirculate mode on AC Max on a fan speed that is 3/4 of full speed and post this with the
ambient outside temperature in the shade along with the...
It's refreshing to see that at least some dealers are being up front and not trying to blow it up customers
behinds on this problem.
Now if FCA actually comes up with a real solution that actually is effective, and I've got news for them, if the ambient temp is 95 F and humidity is 50% and...
NOT NORMAL AT ALL...that is some serious rusting and pitting especially on fasteners that may or may not be related to the safety aspects of the vehicle and compromise them. It almost looks like possible flood damage?
Indeed, but in FCA case the systems have design defects and or failures, especially since those with inferior cooling performance can hack their heater core to take it out of the loop and get 40 F temps at 95 F and 50% humidity ambient. I tend to agree that the problems lie in the blend door...
The important part is that you don't want it coming undone anymore than it already has. If you didn't actually break the thread I would take a needle and push the loose part back into the hole and just use a little shoe goo to keep it in place. just a tiny pin head amount in the hole with the...
In general for "mobile AC" systems in vehicles at ambient temp of 95 with 50% humidity, anything between 38-42 is considered very good, 43-48 acceptable, and 49-52 marginal, higher than that there is something DEFINITELY wrong it may be a design defect or failure but the system isn't performing...
