K thanks again, checked there, but still no Delmonico Red. Guess I need to buy the unfinished ones, and have them painted.

Picked Up The 24 Today. Few Questions

Ok thanks for the tip, they look good. Who did you buy them from, as the only vendor I can find, only carries them in ivory pearl tricoat.

Considering a Ram 1500, but concerned about reliability... New to 5GenRam

    Having owned Dodge/Ram trucks since 2000, after an awful experience with a Silverado (that I traded after 15 months due to it's incessant issues) I can say I have had very little go wrong. (now I've jinxed it !) Have had a 2001,(2500), 2003, (2500), 2007 (2500) 2009 (1500) 2013 (1500) 2019...

Picked Up The 24 Today. Few Questions

To me the biggest item, between my last truck and this one (similarly equipped) is the lack of fender flares. I've had the truck since late Sept, and I still miss them every time I look at it.......... anyone got a good recommendation for aftermarket painted flares..................:)

    Rear window surround crack.

Just got two letters in the mail today (unfortunately for my 2019 Ram, which I don't have anymore) from FCA extending the warranty on the 3rd brake light to 10 yrs 150000 miles, and the rear window to 8 yrs 150000 miles, so it appears they are trying to do the right thing .

    Nanny features!

Speaking of Nannies......in this new 24, I keep getting a message in the display " check back seat"....and I'm thinking , what on earth could be wrong with the back seat ? Then it dawned on me....they put this message, up because apparently some people are so distracted, that they have left...

Failed 8.4nav to 12.1 screen swap

Yeah, it's a pricy swap (4k if you go the infotainment route) so I just made do with the 8.4, until I traded it last week for a 24 with the 12.1. .................

Failed 8.4nav to 12.1 screen swap

I also seem to remember that the radio module was different between the 8.4 and the 12" screens when i was looking at swapping out the one in my 2019. Could be wrong, as that was about 4 years ago.............

Just picked up my 2024 Laramie on Monday to replace my 2019 Sticker 70840 Price before TTL 60230 Maybe not the best but it was local At least prices seem to be going the right way now, hope the UAW strike doesn't reverse the trend............

Installing Factory Trailer Brake Controller and DIY Software Update

I got my bypass module from "Infotainment.com", as posted before, it is $50

For those that want to add the factory trailer brake controller...

I programmed it no problem with the alphaobd. Check out the thread dedicated to programming by brotharon. I followed his steps, and it worked. The brake controller showed up instantly, but for some reason, it took two days for the trailer info to be displayed in the center stack. I used the 2018...

    Air conditioning Hack

As proven by clamping off the heater hose, and getting 40 deg temps. I know people won't read 32 pages, but, that myth has been busted several times, but please people, don't let your dealer tell you it is because of the new refrigerant!

Installing Factory Trailer Brake Controller and DIY Software Update

I got my bypass module from "Infotainment.com" I bought the BAFX reader as it has been proven to work, don't know about the one you linked. The BAFX definitely works, as I did mine this weekend. Hardest thing was getting the plugs out of the bypass after I'd finished :)

HELP !!!!!!!! brake controller install problems

Glad you got it figured out. Incidentally, if your dealer is one of the ones that needs $150+ for programming, you CAN do it yourself with the Alphaobd app, a security gateway bypass, and an obd2 reader.

HELP !!!!!!!! brake controller install problems

I'm not 100% sure but I think the connectors for the TBC and the radio/hvac controls are the same size. Maybe you have them in the wrong sockets? Do the +and - on the controller light up? I disconnected the battery, but there was no wait time before the radio/hvac controls worked correctly.

Installing Factory Trailer Brake Controller and DIY Software Update

This may be true now, but when a lot of us on here were looking to install the controller, the dealers were all on backorder. Hence we purchased the parts individually, and installed them ourselves. Some people were lucky and got the flash done for less than $100, however, some like me were...

    Air conditioning performance

I would agree...................except, there was no way it was 70 deg in the cab. I have made this trip many many times, and have had 6 different Rams............... believe me this is NOT normal. Think what you want but some of these trucks have a definite AC issue !

    Air conditioning performance

Just finished an 800 mile round trip, from Houston to MS and back, in 95 + degree weather. By and large the temp in the drivers side vent never got below 60 deg, but we were ok, as long as the seat fans were on. Coming back however I noticed a strange trait. I have the AC set to auto, and 70...

    Air conditioning performance

Can't see how that can be the reason, as it has been proven on here, if you clamp the heater hose, you can get the vents down into the low 40's. The system can obviously get the evap temp down to 40, it's the isolation of the heater core from the airstream that is the issue.....
