Fantastic points. I have yet to test the 5.7L but I assumed it was much better than the diesel, but apparently not.
Have been going back and forth on this, and the 6.2 GM motor in the AT4/ZR2. But it sounds like the diesel is peppy enough to have some grit while still being amazing at mpg's...
So I've been researching a the 5.7 vs the Diesel. Warning, long read and math ahead. But when you're about to spend $65k+, why not read a little more?
According to user posts on these forms and YouTube video fuel efficiency tests, the 5.7l V8 Rebel gets anywhere from 15-18 combined average mpg...
Not calling you out: who could've predicted it would get THIS bad? I just thought it was funny is all. We're in this same boat together, not trying to make you feel bad
> Lastly, fuel costs have been low for two years and likely will remain so for some time unless the govt wants to tank domestic energy production and put 1.8 million people on unemployment (very unlikely since that would lose you PA in the next election)
Looking at reviews for the EcoDiesel and...
So far the only difference is what is offered standard between the two, and also the 2022 offering the GT package. Right now there seems to be about a $3-4k difference when I select the same packages.
Anyone know what the differences are with the 2021 and the 2022 Rebels? If I don't want the...
Thank you! 17-18 at 70-80 is perfectly acceptable.
I think I've settled on the V8, 4x4, no air suspension.
I have been going back and forth on a loaded Ford Tremor or the new At4, but I honestly think the Rebel just offers it all: style, power, luxury.
Good points, everyone. Thank you all for the input.
Set on the V8 and 4x4, neither sound like they decrease your MPG from 20 to 12, and are both worth the extra investment.
Not sure about air ride, still on the fence.
100% agreed. When I haggled for my Challenger it was two straight days at the dealership and we were both exhausted by the end of it (we texted after lol). That said I have no dealership loyalty to anyone here in Phoenix, especially since it's been markup city after COVID hit.
Would rather just...
Based on everyone's replies here I'm gonna go ahead and guess the Rebel has less incentives? I have a $72.5k build and they knocked it down to $64.8. Still tremendous discount, just curious how everyone is scoring $10k+ before rebates, is all.
Hmmm, based on everything:
V8 and 4x4 is a must. Air still on the fence.
I don't tow a lot. Only haul passengers, equipment in the bed, and camping supplies.
But the air definitely sounds like another "better to have and not need" sorta deal...
Dang, Ram needs to send you some commission because I think you just sold me on 4x4 +V8.
I'd follow you into battle with that style of calling out and challenging for more outta life 😂
Thanks for the input!
Wow, just read through all your replies, I got called out, but in the best way possible.
As I got closer to pulling the trigger on an order I think I just started nickel and diming myself trying to save money. A good slap to remind me why I want a Rebel in the first place, and not a Rav or...
Some LDS warranties are only good for their dealership, whereas Mopar is good anywhere. Not sure about MD and what they sell, but if it's the same as Maxcare then obviously it's worth it. But as someone who's had Mopar Maxcare and needed it out of state across the country, it's come in handy to...
After 7 years with the 6.4L 392 hemi, there's zero chance I'd go back and trade down for a V6, but realistically I'd also Never used all 511hp of that engine.
A muscle car is meant for the power, style, and the sound. This truck is my new daily driver with trail capabilities. Just the great...
