Great comprehensive review, glad you're enjoying your Rebel! I've had mine for about a week and a half and so far loving mine. Agreed with others on the Pedal Commander, I had it on my 2020 Big Horn and could really tell the difference. I'm waiting to get out of the "break-in" period before I...
Well I ended up pulling the trigger on a Rebel this past weekend. Didn't do quite as well as I wanted but considering the current environment I think I did ok, got about 17.5% off MSRP.
Thanks to @Misterturbo for recommending Ashley at Lustine, he came back after their first offer and kept...
So this may be a dumb question, but what would cause specific costs on a Monroney sticker to change? For example, I'm seeing a variance in base price although after doing a stare and compare I'm not seeing a difference. That and I'll sometimes see a difference in costs for options between stickers?
Well so much for Lustine. Looking at a Rebel with a MSRP of $59,500 and they came back with a "sale" price of $52,720 before tax, title and processing fee for total OTD of $55,900.
Exactly. Every truck I look at on a dealer website shows MRSP crossed out and the dealer's "sale" or "internet" price below. Some will have some fine print indicating that it doesn't include destination while others you find out when I attempt to work a deal. At best it's deceitful and worst...
Nice looking truck. I'm beginning to wonder if there are any reputable dealerships out there. Luckily I'm in the Northern, VA area so there are a lot of dealerships in VA and MD to contact to see if they'll deal.
I tried to work a deal with my local dealer and they did they old double dip on destination and adding additional "accessory" stuff on that I didn't want:
Needless to say I told them their deal wasn't much of a deal.
Since I sold my Big Horn to Carmax and it was the end of the month I thought I'd reach out to my "local" dealer (Safford of Warrenton, VA) on a Rebel I've seen on their lot for a while and see if they'd work a deal. Here's the deal they came back with:
Needless to say I called BS on them...
Well I'm officially in the market for a Rebel after selling my Big Horn to Carmax. Looking through the negotiated price thread in the general area not a ton of attention to Rebel pricing. Just curious to get some sort of target to look for when pricing a new Rebel. Should I be looking at 15...
Agreed, don't think the demand is there either. Especially for 10 or 20k above MSRP. Not sure how accurate it is, but using Cargurus and looking at days on their website I'm seeing some sitting for 1 - 2 months. Makes me wonder how well it'll retain it's value.
I'm seeing a lot of focus on discount/rebate codes and negotiation methods; does time on a dealer lot ever come into play? Since I've been kicking around the idea of upgrading and tracking inventory I'm seeing trucks sitting on lots for months. Seems like that should come into play?
With them selling so far above MSRP I'm curious how well they'll hold their value. Never looked at the Hellcat cars, maybe they they don't depreciate as fast?
Or put another way, since it competes directly against the Ford Raptor, will it hold its value as well as the Raptor?
This could be why when I was looking at my spreadsheet tracking dealer inventory I'm seeing that dealer website "internet price" has jumped up by as much as $3k.
I've been looking at moving from a Big Horn to a Rebel but concerned that my mileage will suck even worse (currently at ~16.5 over life of truck with E-Torque). Weird thing is it doesn't seem to matter E-Torque or no the numbers are still all over the place on the Rebel. Should we start...
I installed the Gator EFX Hard tri-fold Tonneau cover yesterday. So far impressed with the quality and ease of install especially at the price point (it was on sale for $550). As it turns out we had some strong storms last night and when I checked this morning found a little bit of moisture on...
