Cold start
Temp doesn't seem to matter.
Start engine and let it get to stable rpm 500-100
Move from Park to drive with foot on brake
Tried pausing in neutral and going quickly from P to D
When it gets into drive, the truck lurches forward.
If I keep foot in brake, there rpms bounce and the...
Just got mine yesterday. Spent months waiting for right price on Granite Crystal color Rebel...walked onto the lot going to get one and saw the Max. Steel and stopped there. You get blue, gray, or black color depending on the light (look at right front of hood, then work your way to left...
Yes, I was at about 23%... See my post above. I didn't push too hard and I thought they gave me a decent deal on my trade in (more than CarMax anyway and way more than another ram dealer).
I went to Quirk Dodge in Marshfield. Talk to George. Nice guy. They had like a dozen Ram Rebels.
Finally bought mine! Not sure if I "negotiated" well, but price was fine for me:
2019 Rebel Crew Cab
Maximum Steel Met. Clear Coat
Bed Util Group
Level 2 package
Hemi V8
Black Side Steps
Rear Wheelhouse Liners
33 gal fuel tank
9 Speakers
12in. NAV
Blind Spot/Cross Traffic
RamBox
Bed Liner...
I walked away. Still lower than anything a dealer offered, but it had the unknown history and turns out it was etorque engine, which I didn't want.
Thanks for the advice everyone. For some reason, dealers in Mass are sitting on inventory 60-120 days old and not budging on price
no dealer fees...just the price of vehicle + tax, title, reg. I think I'm walking away though. Just got this feeling with CarMax. Dealers don't seem willing to budge at all on prices. I told one guys I'd buy today, just come in between their internet price and carmax price for same build and...
Hmm. What should I be targeting for an out the door price for that options package then?
The incentives aren't available to me and the financing is higher than what I get from my local bank.
Thanks for the info Cmerkert. Maybe demand is different here. Dealer wouldn't even make a counter offer. He did offer me $52500 on a Rebel with MSRP of $60,500. Rebates here were $1500. Maybe there's more wiggle room as the options on the truck increase their available profit.
For the...
Found used 2019 Rebel at CarMax of all places. My father is a mechanic and we both searched it inside and out for over an hour and nothing appeared damaged from accident, flood, etc. 2 test drives (on different days) didn't show any issues.
History:
1 owner purchased in Nov. 18 from Valenti...
anyone check their engine? Going to buy tomorrow if it passes my final inspection (using the great checklist from this forum) Build date is 9/18, so looking through the Recall/TSB sticky, I think this truck avoided many of the earlier issues. Just 2 recalls (loose negative cable and brake...
One other thing I noticed was that some of the tape that's wrapped around hoses/electrical connectors seems to be hanging off in a few places. Wondering if that would happen if they were submerged or maybe they just pressure washed the engine bay. See image. Car didn't smell musty or...
