    Sport Hood Accent Decal

I’ve been satisfied with how my hood badges came out with Plasti-Dip. Hardest part was the masking prep and cleaning the edges with a razor blade after.

    Exhaust noise

Yes, an important ‘check on the pulse’ that every company should embrace. Better to get involved sooner rather than after the dung tsunami has boiled up on the forums. Good to see RAM Cares efforts to sort out recurring customer issues.

Should RAM ditch the knob shifter ?

If real ‘manliness’ is the goal, then where are the three-pedal trucks? I miss the manual transmission that IMO made a truck a real truck.

New truck today, do I get the factory extended warranty or not?

Basic question to answer is how long do you REALLY expect to keep the truck? Unless you will hang onto it for more than the factory’s warranty, you’d do better putting the money towards something else for the truck. An extended warranty will not increase a future sale or trade-in value much. On...

Should RAM ditch the knob shifter ?

Another vote for the knob shifter. A simple and space-saving improvement over the steering column lever or console shifter. Harkens back to the old Chrysler transmission push buttons when everyone else had steering column shifters.

    Adding passive entry

I have two gripes for previously standard-now deleted features: The under-hood light, and rear wheel liners. Both were included on my 2017 Sport but MIA on my 2019 Laramie...

    People with gas mileage issues

I’m getting pretty much the same results with the same build and similar driving. ECO comes on less often over 55 or so, but otherwise cycles on and off regularly.

Fiat Chrysler proposes merger with Renault

Fiat Chrysler has made a "transformative" merger proposal for French carmaker Renault, the Italian firm said on Monday. The combined business would be 50% owned by Fiat shareholders and 50% by Renault stockholders. The carmaker said the merger would create a global automotive leader, with 8.7...

    School me on downshifting...

FYI the TOW/HUAL on my 2019 Laramie is below the main console stack controls. Suggest you dig into the manual a bit. Lots of good to know info.

    School me on downshifting...

According to the 2019 Owner’s Manual “When frequent transmission shift occurs (such as when operating the vehicle in hilly terrain [among several situations] select TOW/HUAL mode, or use the Electronic Range Select (ERS) shift control to select a lower gear range. “ “...using a lower gear...

    A nice customer follow-up gift

My theory is that rural smaller markets are heavily repeat-customer oriented, whereas dealers in larger metros have much more regional customer base and so less emphasis on repeats. My dealer definitely wants and depends on my return business, and puts effort to build relationships accordingly...

    Rear door fit

After reading the posts, I checked my Laramie and found the same issue; corners not flush and uneven rear vertical gap. Did an unscientific check at the dealer and found four out of 24 (about 17 percent) that were nice and flush. All the rest featured the door corner kick outs...

Would you let dealer wet sand paint nibs?

I’d go with the dealer on this. If they do it right, you’re a satisfied customer; if not they’ll have to send it to the body shop and get it right. Either way you get a good resolution.

    Where can I find this?

Looks to be a boat/dock fitting. Maybe try a marine supply shop.
