I had to look up the FitcamX because I haven't heard of it before. I think it's cool because it looks integrated, but I like the features of the VIOFO A329 and the corresponding hardwire kit better. I set up my dashcam on the passenger side up near the top of the windshield and rearview...
I have a "dual channel" (front and rear camera) in my truck - VIOFO A329 4K 60FPS Dash Cam Front and Rear, with a VIOFO HK4 Hardwire Kit. I had a dash camera in my previous car that I sold when I moved, and that one paid for itself when it proved the other person was at fault (rather than being...
I had just bought a cake at a grocery store for a party that I was headed to last night. I held the cake in my lap as I rode passenger in the tow truck back home instead of going to the party. I ended up giving the cake to my neighbors as it was too much for me to eat, and I couldn't take it...

I posted a question (Comment #8) for Ram as my issue looks like it is addressed by a TSB. Thank you
@RamCares , my truck is at 154,000 miles. If this issue is caused by what the TSB covers, will Ram do a goodwill warranty repair for the crack and RF hub for a 5th gen early adopter (bought in 2018)? The TSB extends the warranty to 8 years or 150,000 miles. Most of that is highway miles...
It's a new battery from AutoZone 3 months ago, but it could be defective. I will see about testing it.
My only other vehicle is a motorcycle though (so I can't just disconnect it and take it to AutoZone. I'm holding out to get a Ramcharger). Maybe I'll try jumping it tomorrow.
Good idea...
It does seem like something electrical, I will ask the dealsership to take a look at that, thank you. I believe that is a TSB or recall? I will do some research when I get home. Hopefully that is something Ram will cover...
I have an interesting problem that I haven't heard before or could find in a search:
2019 5th gen Lonestar 4x4
Driving on highway, all kinds of error messages pop up, power stearing goes out, windshield wipers start going.
Some errors include:
- Traction control
- Parking Brake
- Airbags
-...
I think those are considered a 4th generation Ram. The 2019 Ram comes in two body styles, the "Classic" and the "All New". The "All New" 2019 body style is 5th generation.
zj4x4,
Do you have a model number for the cover with the rails? I want to order the exact same thing. The only website that I could find that has it, says it's for the Classic body style only. I guess I'll have to use the Find a Dealer and call them, but I want to make sure I order the right...
It appears at this time everything is okay with the truck. The Check Engine light cleared on it's own a few days ago, and the truck is still starting normally.
I checked for a parasitic load with a multimeter. When I first connected it, it read 40mA, but then quickly went down to 19mA, then settled at 9mA. I jumped the truck then went to an auto parts store. Their code reader showed a P1DF3 code. They performed a battery load test, which the...
It was odd, because the infotainment system and all the lights worked perfectly.
I will report back tomorrow when I get the battery tested and possibly replaced.
Actually, I guess it could just be the 12V battery and everything else could still be working, and I would still be experiencing what I'm experiencing. I will take the 12V battery out and get it tested tomorrow.
But if anyone has any advice or answers to any of my questions, I would still...
I've read that Ram has said there was a bad batch of batteries that were dying prematurely. Does anyone know how I can tell if my battery was in that batch?
My truck (2019) won't start except with a jump from another vehicle.
All the articles I've read says that the 48V battery is supposed to charge the 12V battery to prevent this, but I can't find that on Ram's website
I'm wondering:
Did they scrap the battery charging feature?
If they didn't, did...
