Here is my observation. Rebel with 3.92 gears and eTorque Hemi. MPG on window sticker says 22 on the highway. In real world, I never can get better than 19 mpg. But I did some not-close-to-real-life tests and I was able to get 22 mpg on the highway constantly.
I-90 from Seattle to Spokane. If...
Think about that from this perspective... Chevy Silverado Trailboss has 24 gallon tank. New Nissan Titan has 26 gallon tank. New Ford F-150 has 23 gallon for Crew Cab, 26 gallon for King Cab, and 36 gallon as extra option for $$$. Most of F-150s in stock in Seattle dealerships have 23 gallon...
I'm pretty sure RC liners will not work for Ramboxes - there is less space in the wheel well then in a regular cab. So OEM Mopar wheel liners is your only option.
Traveling in wilderness in Utah was pretty stressful with 23 gallon tank. Gravel road with a lot of inclines and curves, plus fuel stations just don't exist in every town. So I needed to fill up basically on every gas station that I saw, and sometimes prices were crazy.
With 23 gallon tank, you...
As a technician, I can't understand how their coil packs can improve anything. RIPP promotes their coil packs as a silver bullet, but they don't really explain how it works and why it improves performance on paper. Yes, those coil packs produce a higher current, but it will not result in a...
Sharing my best practices. 5.7L eTorque engine. Swapping oil filters on 3.6L is WAY easier since it has a cartridge filter on top of the engine.
1. Drain the oil.
2. Put a garbage bag on the filter
3. Use 74mm cup wrench to unscrew the filter. There is plenty of space there for that.
4. All oil...
Upgraded from 23 gallon fuel tank to 33 gallon. Finally I can drive for 500 miles without looking for a gas pump!
I wrote a guide how to do that if you want to follow same path: Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank | Page 17 | 5thGenRams Forums
I clearly see the difference between high resolution digital OEM rear camera and analog RCA-connected front camera. Resolution of analog camera is something around 800x600 I guess, but then is better than nothing.
Here is my story. I have a regular garage doors (not wide ones) with 250 square space for the truck. And I park it in the garage every day - in and out.
1. Fold the mirrors
2. Park inside straight (there are few inches on its side with folded mirrors - looks scary from the outside, but fine from...
I've finally completed 33 gallon fuel tank retrofit on my 2020 RAM Rebel. I took that truck from stock inventory at the dealership, and I thought I will be OK with 23 gallon tank, which was a trade-off for a eTorque engine. Man, I love how eTorque works comparing to regular 5.7 HEMI.
My previous...
I also never had problems ordering any parts. But 4 different stores in different states (including largest FCA dealer in WA) working through two different distributors confirmed that 33 gallon tank and fuel pump are on backorder with no ETA. So I have all other parts waiting in my garage to...
Hey folks,
I used a list of parts from this thread to order everything I need to swap 23gal tank to 33gal tank on my Rebel. I was driving from Washington to Utah and back over the holidays, fuel consumption when you drive 80-90mph on the interstate is not so great, and looking for good fuel...
I'm new to this thread. Sharing my experience - I've installed a front camera into my 2019 Durango with 2020 UAQ head. As I remember, 2019 head uses pins 21/22 for cargo camera, and 2020 head switched to 23/24 (I swapped the head and couldn't understand why cargo camera stopped working, and...
I've got these installed on my Rebel. This is insane that it didn't came from the factory. Gravel just hits the metal of the bed when you are driving on a country road. Now it is quieter and I'm not worried about rust in the wheel wells.
Played with AlfaOBD and disabled Fog Light Dropout. So now I can have low beams, high beams and fog lights at the same time. Awesome for night highway driving.
It won't. Line-X warranty covers bubbles and peeling. Not scratches, chips or fade.
BTW, I've ended up buying drop-in from Pendaliner. Paid $300, installed within 20 minutes (where 15 minutes is cleaning the bed and waxing it to protect). I'm happy with the result - skid resistance is...
