From reading a ton of post in this forum I am going to say the 275/60/R20's. I have the ORP and plan to go for 275/65/R20's. You might be able to do 65's if you zip tie back the inner fenders on the front. Least that is what i have gleaned from reading on here.
I ran Geo's for years on my Tacoma. Overall was pretty happy with them. I feel like the Falkens hook up a bit better. Then again my tacoma was so light it could have just been that. Good to hear that they hold up well towing. Tacoma didn't do much of that :)
I looked at that size as well. With the ORP package i think I can get the 65's without rubbing. They might rub in odd angles at full lock, but i can live with that.
Yeah, came out of a thread from the tire forum. Guy appears to drive a 1 ton, so much heavier truck and trailer. Glad to hear you all have had good luck with them. Max load for mine just under 8k. So more inline with your rig.
Interested to see what you think of the new one compared to the old. Only thing I don't like about the chains is releasing the tension on disconnect. My dad was helping me and almost released them without lifting it up enough. Other than that it seems to work pretty well for me.
I got size and load rating pretty much figured out. 275/65/r20 and E rated seem to get me what I want. I had planned to go back with the Falkens, but cost has me starting to look at other tires. Any recommendations either way when it comes to towing? I read in another thread that the BFG's...
I am just about due to replace. Been looking at the Falkens, but the cost is a bit steep. Good to know about the BFG's. I pull a Travel Trailer. Been looking at the cooper's and the grabbers though. I been super happy with the falkens that came on mine.
Yep, I got the bags before the trailer. Read about them helping take some of the wiggle out and improving ride quality. I feel like they do that and the hitch still works fine.
Dealership flipped out about my air bags when they installed my hitch, saying I shouldn't use them at all with the hitch. I still do use them, just doesn't take much air to get me back level. I just verify the bars have tension on them. I think I use the 9th link. My trailer empty is pretty...
Dealer I bought my trailer from sold me on the Blue OX swaypro. I hadn't used any other brands, but so far i been really happy with it. Only issue i had was the guy at the dealership told me to use the wrong chain link and didn't explain how to verify it was tight. Once I figured out how it...
Remember to inflate your tires a bit. I bump up to 50ish on the rear when towing. Never really did that in prior towing, but TT's catch so much air they tend to make the truck want to wiggle a little more.
Interesting how they advertise no drone. Borla site has a video with all 3 versions. Touring, S-type and Atack. I am going to follow along. Main reason i haven't done exhaust is because of not wanting it to be to annoying on 4+ hour trips with the travel trailer. Heck even the touring is a...
My TT is about 7,800 fully loaded. I have a similar spec truck minus the 37" tires. I think you would be fine with sticking around your 7500 number more max trailer weight. Main thing you will fight is the wind drag. Empty my trailer is 3,400lbs and honestly pulls about the same full vs...
Based on a gear ratio calculator your gear ratio looks to be down to close to the stock 3.21 gearing. So I would say tow rating for a 3.21 geared truck would get you a starting point.

Good to know. I didn't realize the ORP did that with air ride. I know without air it give you an inch, but thought with air it was stock till you turned on the Off-road air settings.
There was a black truck back towards the beginning of this thread. He didn't say he had air in his post, but his Signature line said his truck had air. He was the guy who went form 285's to 275. I didn't quite glean the reason he went down. My assumption was that he off roaded and at odd...
I used this tool to visualize the differences. 1/2 inch taller and little over 1/4 inch wider if I am reading this right.
