To the two people (besides me) interested in this issue :p. The dealer opened the diff and inspected it and everything looked good. No metal shavings or anything out of the ordinary. They drained and replaced the diff fluid and added 2 qts of "limited slip". I'm guessing that is the friction...
I just discovered this issue has been discussed before on this forum here: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/shudder-shake-from-rear-end-at-very-slow-speeds-typically-while-turning.14006/#post-335650
People are saying the noise I'm hearing is the LSD grinding/clattering. Could just...
Man, that sounds like my dealer. Sometimes when I call, they transfer me to service but nobody answers the phone. Every update I've gotten on my truck has been initiated by me. They NEVER call me. I hope I can get some kind of useful information that you can use before you take yours in.
I just got off the phone with the service department and she said they are having a "star case" discussion on my truck now. Whatever that means. They are discussing whether or not an inspector is going to come out and look at it. What??? They have to have a conversation about whether or not...
I have the the same issues with mine too. The air doesn't get very cold on hot days, but the fan blows too hard. It blows cold air on cold days for about 2 or 3 minutes until the engine warms up then warm air starts to come out.
I have a 2021 RAM Classic Tradesman as a loaner while my Laramie...
The truck has been at the dealer since Monday morning. I played the video for the service advisor and she heard it. She also said when the tech drove it they were able to hear it. They are working with Chrysler/FCA/Stellantis or whatever the heck now on the process of elimination. They are...
Just got back from a RAM dealer in Savannah and a they were gracious enough to go grab a technician to ride with me and listen to my issue. The two of us were able to determine that it is only coming from the driver's side rear wheel area and not the diff. He thinks it is related to the brake...
Here's a video of it. Hope the sound comes across ok. It does it twice in the video.

Haha! Yeah, I thought about that when selecting that pic to submit here. However, they are just barely touching the pads. So what you see is the squat. I have Air Lift 1000 airbags at 35psi and a ProPride 3P hitch. Rear-end squat is only 3/4".
Yesterday, I noticed for the first time a grinding sound/feeling coming from the rear end during low speed take-off and turning either right or left. It does NOT happen when taking off in a straight line. It feels like traction control kicking in and sounds like that too from inside the truck...
I've been down that road before and all I got was more crap workmanship. I totally get what you're saying though. They should fix it, but I don't trust them to do a good job.
The BMW dealer scratched the hood on my wife's X3 when replacing the wiper blades. I raised hell and they put me in a...
